What do people think will happen in the main event? I really hope Dave performs well, he’s a pound off 19 stone so who knows. I just hope it is a good fight.
Not that it matters but I think Fisher’s father has turned lots of people off from Fisher, really has been unlikeable and made GAD look quite likeable which is no mean feat.
Personally mate I’m thinking Fisher will stay one step ahead this time and work his way to a clear (enough) decision.
Although Fisher Sr has come across as a bit of an overly sensitive twerp, GAD / Spencer probably should have owned up to being a bit OTT with the “disgrace”comment re the decision last time. Surely you can’t call a 1 point win a disgrace, however easy you think the rounds were to score.
Hi Kilburn, I think your point about GAD especially is fair, he is often given to hyperbole. It was not a disgrace and was a close fight. I think Dave won by 2 points but it was not a disgrace by any stretch. Although I was more GAD than GAD at the time as I am a biased wally where Dave Allen is concerned, especially after a beer on a Saturday when I decide I am hard and know my boxing. I hope you are wrong re Fisher winning but have an uneasy feeling that you may well be right.
I will message you immediately after the fight if Dave loses, acting hard and being very Gaddy
I was a bit distracted for the last fight and rarely try to score fights anyway mate, but Allen did seem hard done by at the end.

I said in the main thread I think Fisher wins quite handily, 7-3 or so.
He was controlling the first fight, got caught, had a few rough rounds & weathered it. That'll do him the world of good experience-wise.
it sure will. He's clearly trained well for this too.
He performed poorly in the allegedly interview though, in the quiz he opted for Benjamin Disraeli as the first Prime Minister. He should have known it was Walpole. I am a history bitch and made a jibe that I can see why he only got a 2:1 in it, I got a First albeit from the University of Lincoln which is like saying you were world champion when you held the WBF belt.

Fingers crossed for the Donny lad.
deffo mate, I like them both, they're both clearly decent fellas I've just always followed Dave's career as he is so local to me and I know one of his boxers who is a lovely fella.
I KNOW it was close, and - sure - you could maybe give Bosh a round after the KD.., BUT Allen won. .
We all knew he might get stiffed and we all know he'll lose the rematch, but he was the best man on the night.

I'm betting Fisher.
Not going to argue with that mate. I’m just not sure GAD’s argument stands up too well, the way he presents it.
If I had tickets to this, I'd probably turn up for Conway onwards. The first few fights looked a bit meh on paper.
I'm sure the venue will gradually fill up.

I think meh is fair, they were ok but nothing memorable. they have clearly not spent money on the undercard.

I've got a tenner bet on with the wife, that Dave wins. If I lose I will just pretend to fall asleep and not pay her, whereas she's one of those honest types who will pay up. Loser...

Conway has been helped with opportunities by being best pals with one of the Matchroom men. He's even in his corners.
Either way, he is pretty entertaining to watch. Well I like him
