Fully agree. Would be man against boy at the moment. Not needed.Coco wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 09:53Really think it's too soon for Liddard, hasn't really fought against area level yet, Conway is above British level.mickey1975 wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 09:40They'll bring him back on Conway v Liddard and try to transfer the fans to Liddard. Being on the comeback trail is a gimmick in itself, and it won't be hard to fill the copper box doing 8 rounders against international opponents.
Rinse that for a couple of years, then a British title fight.
With the top 10 in Britain being already beyond that level, it might even be a winnable fight.
His last match was a typical Hearn match, statistically a good record, against the usual suspects, and a non puncher, gets a British title shot.
Of course Liddard is a good prospect, but he is being chucked in at the deep end here

Not all bookies offer odds differentiating KO and TKO but there are some that do.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 14:55 are there even options for ko vs tko? i usually just see stoppage outright

Get him an English title, followed by some penta continentals, perhaps fast car is worried about Fisher losing him ticket salesmaverick23 wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 16:01Fully agree. Johnny seems like a real nice fella.
Hope he doesn’t take many other bad KOs like he had on Saturday.

Johnny went out on his shield
He could easily have swerved the rematch with Allen. Of all the names and judgements aimed at Fisher, one thing he's not is a bottle job.

depends whether his travelling fans just want to see him knock people out or progress/win titles. he can fly low and keep winning, for sure.Coco wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 16:39Get him an English title, followed by some penta continentals, perhaps fast car is worried about Fisher losing him ticket salesmaverick23 wrote: ↑18 May 2025, 16:01Fully agree. Good breakdown of the fight here from Dave.
