WRONG TITLE/WRONG WEIGHTS/MISSING TITLES

Post by KSTAT124 »

Three of the bouts on the May 10, 2025 Quetta, Pakistan card are either missing information or are listed with erroneous information.

Wrong title/wrong weights:

BoxRec has both fighters weighing in at 147 and has them fighting for the WBA Asia South welterweight title.

Jesus Saracho (15-2-2, 12 KOs) TKO-5 3:00 Joepher Montano (19-6-2, 17 KOs)
- This bout was actually fought for the vacant WBA Asia Middle-East welterweight title.
- The title was available for Montano only. He weighed in at 145.9. Saracho failed to make weight. He tipped the scale at 153.
- With Saracho winning, the title remains vacant.

Missing title:

Tarik Zaina (15-2-1, 10 KOs) TKO-4 3:00 Marvin Esquierdo (18-5-1, 11 KOs)
- What's missing is that Zaina won the vacant WBA Asia South super lightweight title.

Missing title/wrong weights:

Alex Dilmaghani (22-3-1, 8 KOs) Unan. Dec. 10 Yermi Peralta Jimenez (12-2-2, 8 KOs)
- Both fighters weighed in at 135 (not 130).
- The scores were 96-94, 99-91, and 98-92.
- Dilmaghani won the vacant WBA Asia Middle-East lightweight title.

Politely and respectfully you are wrong on a few things.

I was actually in pakistan at the time and at the event for the week.

Im not sure where you got thet secondary information from, but please let me clarify;

Firstly both fighters peralta and dilmaghani did weigh in at 130lbs, and the title is the super feather wba south Asian title as announced at the event and as the pictures show. The scores for that bout are accurate.

Additionally Zaina title is the middle Eastern title not the Asian.

Did you check the link I included? I got the information directly from the WBA Asia's website.

NOpe just seen this. I understand now where u get ur information from. I will get the promoter to contact the wba, as they are still incorrect.

Il enclose a link to the full fight, where you can see the title being announced and it's weight class.

There is also one for Tarik for the same comment I made previously.

Here is the link;

The WBA is a disgrace to the sport, they will sanction any fight, no matter how bad if there is money on the table. If they claimed the sky was blue I would go outside and double check. Please rid BoxRec of this cancer completely.
