I think this weekend showed exactly why going back to 15 rounds would be a terrible idea. Nobody would want to see that.
The few fights where it would add extra drama don't make up for all the snoozefests we would have to endure which in the end would turn more people away from boxing.

I have never cared for boxing since 2000, anyway. These guys today can't give no emotion. You can't learn nothing from them anyway.

Terence "Bud" Crawford vs Saul "Canelo" Alvarez should be 15 rounds.

1. They are two of the top 5 best fighters in the whole entire world.

2. They will make at least $60 million dollars each if I am not exaggerating.

3. They are supposed to be well conditioned athletes and professionals.

4. Why should THE PAYING CUSTOMER be the loser? The paying customer pays about average $150 dollars for a fight. The product? Stinks more than a butt hole.

5. I am glad that I don't pay for pay per view. I would rather spend my money in other stuff than $150 dollars for a stinking fight.

there might be the rare fight that would be great to see go 15 rounds. Most, absolutely not. If it's boring for 12 rounds, it is just going to be worse for 15 rounds.

If it's boring, you wouldn't think you are getting your $ worth.

Think of baseball. It has got more and more boring over the years. Would the solution be to play 12 innings instead of 9? Of course not.

Should there be one champion per division now?

What does it takes to get back to it like back in the days?
Short answer to questions #1 and #2.......

YES!

:TU: the paying customer is the loser today. Yes! These guys today should fight 15 rounds. Yes! They are in better condition and shape than yesterday's boxers according to science. And yes, they are getting paid millions! Too much money for just 12 rounds.

I am feeling sorry for the paying customer and guys like Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

That leads to a great question. What has been worse in the last 10 years, or the music that has come out in the last 10 years?

I guess we should just assume that technology has somehow made them both better.
Just don't use your eyes for the hw division or your ears for modern music. We should just keep reminding ourselves that technology has made everything better.
