I had Allen winning against Fisher, but I couldn't call the draw a robbery.

Think you're being a tad harsh on Fisher, Leprechaun. Fisher is decent English title level.

And that's why he'll do well in life and his career. The right decision. If you are reading, Delicious, good for you, young man, and all the best in The City.

Corporate job in The City, I believe. He'll make far more throughout his career than he ever would have as a pro boxer - it was very unlikely he'd go on to be top level - without the public scrutiny or head shots.

Which city? It’s easier said then done to turn an economics degree into a really well paid job.

He could have made a £1m before even taking a risk as a pro.

I don't think he could have made that, because he simply doesn't have it in him. That he has recognised that early is to his credit.

I imagine he got a decent signing fee from Queensberry when he turned over, what happens to that?

Bloody hell.

I've not followed him in the amateur and only having 1 pro fight it was hard to see where he was at. Yes his pro debut was a bit of a let down.

Those who have followed him in the amateurs, did you think he was going to be a big star in the pro game?

I'm a little bummed that he retired only because I would've really enjoyed rooting against a guy named Delicious

Good luck to him. I hope his job works out and he can still be involved in boxing or just get to shows although he might want to distance himself from the sport so that he isn't tempted.

I would say he's made the correct move for himself and his future.

Good luck to him, if he's a smart kid with a good job offer, better than taking licks to the head.

If he has got a decent signing bonus, then retired after 1x 4 rounder then he is my GOAT….

That said It does feel like a pretty wild move to retire without even giving it a year or 2 to have a crack…

50 more years to work in finance… why not see how you go for 2 as a pro.. especialy considering his name recognition and experience or give him an easy path.

But, if you know your levle, and don’t think you can make millions, then I guess make the money without scrambling your brain.

I wonder if he will join team GB again for LA…

fair play to him for having the courage to say no not for me. Genuinely interested to see if he keeps any sign on fees too. Legend if he does.

He could have easily spent the next year or two fighting Latvian cabbies and earning some money while continuing to work full time.

maybe he just got sick of it, boxing can get monotonous when youve done it for years
