Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
This doesn't seem very official.
"In negotiations..."
This is the Ring as well, which is just essentially a Saudi propaganda rag, probably more worthless than when Goldenboy owned it. We haven't heard anything about it from Fwank, Moses or Dillian have we?
And we all agree it's a terrible main event for a PPV. Seems a bit rushed, doesn't feel very well thought out.

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
Whyte was average when he was in his prime and he’s a shell of that now. Itauma should see him off with ease, can’t see Whyte being there past the 3rd

He beat Parker, Povetkin, Rivas and Chisora. Who's the worst he's heavyweight of that era who was better than him?smiling assassin wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025, 17:11 Whyte was average when he was in his prime and he’s a shell of that now. Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
The Tetteh fight was enough to see Whyte is shot to pieces.
Perfect timing here. Itauma will blast him out "quicker than AJ and Fury" and then the hyperbole will go from there.

Come on mate, Povetkin beat him then got hospitalized with serious Covid and Whyte fought the corpse in the rematch. And Parker was all over him until a head clash, then came back around and had Whyte nearly out in the final round. The Chisora fights were probably his peak.joshj909 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025, 17:17He beat Parker, Povetkin, Rivas and Chisora. The four people picking Whyte to win by stoppage. Reveal yourselves, or face eternal shame.

Who’s picked Itauma by decision?
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
So how which guys were better than him in that era?KiwiRider wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 04:12Come on mate, Povetkin beat him then got hospitalized with serious Covid and Whyte fought the corpse in the rematch. yep, Povetkin could barely walk to the ring he was wobbling all over the place for the rematch. Clearly turned up to collect the retirement money. Without the clash of heads, Parker would have won too. In his prime he was above Chisora, but then Chisora seems to have improved since then while Whyte has not, so who knows.KiwiRider wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 04:12Come on mate, Povetkin beat him then got hospitalized with serious Covid and Whyte fought the corpse in the rematch. Whyte looking for that Saudi cash-out money, I’ll be surprised if this goes beyond two or three rounds…
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
God I hope this doesnt mean that the powers that be are treating Itauma as a ppv fighter. Yes, great potential but we do not know if he’s even British title level yet.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
If he beats Whyte he's definitely beyond British title level. British Title level if David Adeleye and Jeamie TKV right?

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
tbh whyte vs adelye for the british is a good fight these days, id expect it to be more competitive than whyte vs itauma
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
To be fair - there are a few other British Heavyweights that I would tip to beat those two who have not shown themselves to be European level yet.
I guess it depends on what you call domestic level? - Would I tip Joe Joyce mark 2025, Dillion Whyte mark 2025 and Derek Chisora mark 2025 to win the European title - I am not so sure. Indeed, given how Whyte has looked recently - I am not that convinced he would win the British belt.
Adeleye and Jeamie TKV are arguably the worst co-challengers for a the vacant British Heavyweight title since I can remember - they make James Oyelbola and Scott Welch look like Ali and Foreman.
So yeah - he has already beaten guys I think he would beat the current British champion. But this is probably the era of the worst British champion in the division history. When you think of the likes of Danny Williams in her pomp only being domestic level (he lost when he tried to win at European level) - Itouma hasn't fought anywhere near that level and neither is Whyte 2025 - Whyte when he was on that good run was for sure.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
Yes thats what I mean - not sure who would win that one and that is one of the worst British Heavyweight champions there has been.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 12:59 tbh whyte vs adelye for the british is a good fight these days, id expect it to be more competitive than whyte vs itauma

Whyte just wants a pension top up/final payday, which is fair enough. At least we know he will give it his all, but I can’t make a case for him to win.

I will after he's beat Itauma.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 05:23 The four people picking Whyte to win by stoppage. Reveal yourselves, or face eternal shame.
This lad is totally, totally unproven.
He might be it , he might not be .

AJ was at this stage in his career, but he had Olympic gold on home soil and was a regular in the mainstream media at the time.

100% agree, but Whyte's completely finished. It's going to be a one sided beatdown.rd350lc wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 14:52I will after he's beat Itauma.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑09 Jun 2025, 05:23 The four people picking Whyte to win by stoppage. Reveal yourselves, or face eternal shame.![]()

I hope Whyte puts in a go out on your shield valiant effort & has a proper tear up with Itauma.
Give me half a dozen rounds of great action before Itauma wins.
