If people genuinely believe a 60-year-old man had to hold back against a 28-year-old, I can’t help you.Boxingguru75 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025, 16:16 Both the Tyson and Chavez fights looked fixed. Both Tyson and Chavez took the bread and won financially. Chavez almost blew it actually landing a few late on an incredibly tired Paul, who clearly can’t take any pace. No Paul is not the first manufactured guy but he has enough money to try and buy a title as well.
If anything, it was “fixed” in the sense that Paul had to hold back to avoid seriously hurting an old man.
And let’s not forget JCC Jr. lost to a 46-year-old Anderson Silva years ago, and Paul just beat Silva recently.
He is just fighting people he expects to beat.
You guys let your hate boner cloud basic logic.

The guy is a smart guy , he's made millions for being a u tuber , but he's clever he's actually gonna be champion of the world
, Now wether he buys his way to the world title , or fights his way there is irrelevent , it just adds millions to his fan base , the money and his deluded ego . But he's getting there .
The ones to blame are not him , he's just creating his own brand and buisness model for the future , plus the big money tree ,that goes with it . He's just incredibly smart .
The ones to blame are the , organizations that would give him a rankng let alone allow him to fight for one off there belts , also the boxers like , Chavez , who sold his legacy if he had one , sold his pride , sold out the sport , Only one up til now that actually tried to win was Fury .. And i suspect Fury was thinking i could be bigger than him at the same thing , being famous for nothing really , Fury just was'nt has smart has this fella

Jake Paul is a boxer.
That’s a fact. And before he was a YouTuber. He was a Disney actor.
The YouTube stuff was in between and probably where most his fan base came from. But it sells.
He has people invested in him.
He has charisma and knows how to make noise.
90% of boxers can’t sell themselves for shit.
He’s gotten himself in this position and people within the boxing world have allowed him too.
Let’s not hate the player.

Yes he's a boxer but there's a few caveats to that. He was a multi-millionaire before he even put on a pair of gloves so can pay for the best of everything. Due to his celebrity he's in a position where he's calling the shots, what novice fighter can do that. Several opponents had zero boxing experience or were way past their best and aged 40-58
The only professional fighter he boxed he lost to (Tommy Fury) who really isn't that good anyway.
He will get away with what he's doing because he generates too much money and money talks. It doesn't make him any good.

Chavez already lost to one of Paul's other opponents. 45 year old retired mixed martial artist, Anderson Silva. This fight was just as credible in that neither are remotely credible opponents.Jeff_lacy_ko wrote: ↑02 Jul 2025, 09:30 This is by far his best win and he didnt exactly light the world on fire against a washed up former title holder who is known to be an unprofessional drug addict

"Firat Arslan", of Germany, 54 years old..!!!, ranked #16.
"Wlodarcyk", of Poland, 43 years old, ranked #9.
"Kovalev", at 42, is still in the mix as well. Ranked at #13.
Any one of these 3 opponents would be winnable bouts for "Jake Paul".
He could fight two of them. Imo, ideally the 54 year old first, and then either "Kovalev", or "Wlodarcyk"...
Then, if he wins each bout, go for the title.
Avoid "Opetaei" though..!!
If "Ramirez" still holds a belt, that'd be Jake Paul's best chance.![[icon_e_geek.gif] :geek:](./images/smilies/icon_e_geek.gif)

Badou Jack is definitely the guy for him to target if he's gonna target a Champion. Jack don't know how to fight anything, but a close, competitive fight.robbydecker wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025, 12:06 "Firat Arslan", of Germany, 54 years old..!!!, ranked #16.

ICE ARRESTS JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR.; PROCESSING REMOVAL FROM UNITED STATES FOR AFFILIATION WITH SINALOA CARTEL
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. has much more serious problems than letting his hands go against Jake Paul on Saturday night.
The Department of Homeland Security announced Thursday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials detained the Mexican boxer and are processing him for an expedited removal from the United States. Chavez was arrested Wednesday in Studio City, California.
The DHS’ press release stated Chavez has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his “involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition and explosives.” DHS also noted that Chavez is “believed to be an affiliate of the Sinaloa Cartel,” designated as a foreign terrorist organization.
DHS stated Chavez, 39, entered the U.S. legally in August 2023 on a B2 tourist visa that expired in February 2024. Two months later, Chavez applied to become a lawful permanent U.S. citizen based on his marriage to an American citizen.
Chavez’s wife is connected to the Sinaloa Cartel through a prior relationship with a deceased son of notorious cartel leader Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman. The infamous Guzman is reportedly imprisoned at ADX Florence, a supermax federal penitentiary in Colorado.
ICE was informed that Chavez was a threat to public safety in the U.S. on Dec. 17. The former WBC middleweight champion was allowed back into the U.S. on Jan. 4, but it wasn’t until June 27 that it was determined Chavez’s application for citizenship was fraudulent and that he should be removed from the U.S.
“This Sinaloa Cartel affiliate with an active arrest warrant for trafficking guns, ammunition and explosives was arrested by ICE,” Tricia McLaughlin, DHS’ assistant secretary for public affairs, said. “It is shocking the previous administration flagged this criminal illegal alien as a public safety threat, but chose to not prioritize his removal and let him leave and COME BACK into our country. Under President Trump, no one is above the law — including world-famous athletes. Our message to any cartel affiliates in the U.S. is clear: We will find you and you will face consequences. The days of unchecked cartel violence are over.
The besmirched Chavez (54-7-1, 34 KOs, 1 NC) lost a 10-round unanimous decision to Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) on June 28, in the main event of an MVP Promotions pay-per-view show at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. His loss to Paul marked the latest in a long line of failures in the ring for a son of Mexico’s most esteemed boxer, Julio Cesar Chavez.
DHS listed the younger Chavez’s three arrests in the United States during the past 13 years in its press release. Most recently, Chavez Jr. was arrested on Jan. 7, 2024, in Los Angeles, charged with weapons offenses and eventually convicted.

JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ JR.’S LAWYER SAYS ICE ARREST 'ANOTHER HEADLINE TO TERRORIZE THE COMMUNITY'
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. was arrested Wednesday in Studio City, California, by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials, and the boxer is being processed for an expedited removal from the U.S. back to Mexico for overstaying his visa and lying on a green card application.
The Department of Homeland Security also stated in a press release that Chavez has an active arrest warrant in Mexico for his “involvement in organized crime and trafficking firearms, ammunition, and explosives.”
DHS said Chavez is “believed to be an affiliate of the Sinaloa Cartel,” a designated foreign terrorist organization.
Chavez’s attorney Michael Goldstein said federal agents arrested him while the 39-year-old was riding a scooter in front of his home in Studio City. Footage released Thursday showed Chavez being cooperative as he was being arrested.
“The current allegations are outrageous and simply another headline to terrorize the community,” Goldstein said, per Associated Press.
According to AP, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office said that they’ve already initiated extradition procedures.
Goldstein told AP that he was not aware where Chavez was being detained as of Thursday morning. He is due to appear with Chavez in court Monday related to gun possession charges from 2024, and to provide updates on his progress in a substance abuse program.
Chavez faced Jake Paul at Honda Center in Anaheim on June 28 and lost by unanimous decision.
DHS said it was determined Chavez should be arrested June 27, but did not reveal why it waited several days to arrest him.
Immigration-related arrests have ramped up across Southern California in recent weeks. The developments have resulted in violent protests, which have prompted the federal deployment of National Guard troops and U.S. Marines to downtown Los Angeles.
