Fury retires........yawn
Re: Fury retires........yawn
I've no interest in Fury fighting again let alone a Usyk 3rd fight, the only way to is to not buy any PPV's so they get the message

"That's the one I want, but if I don't get that then it will be (Anthony) Joshua, the biggest British boxing fight that will ever happen. It would break all records, and it would sell out 100,000 at Wembley in an hour, and it's a fight I think could happen, if I did decide to come back and the deal was right."
Re: Fury retires........yawn
I Remeber saying that wilder vs fury was the most pointless trilogy. This would top it, usyk won both fights big and the second fight Fury couldn’t even hurt him.

a lot of websites already confirming it haha
Fury gave eveveryone a date and venue

Just hope DD beats Usky in July. Take away any potential title that the trilogy would be about. Saying that does it matter if any titles are at stake for it? I'm sure a none title fight over 12 rounds would still fill Wembley
Re: Fury retires........yawn
If it happens then great. Fury gave him his toughest fights to date. My guess is though this time he gets stopped.

Does anyone want to see Fury Usyk III?
I had the first fight even at 6 rounds each with the knockdown giving the fight to Usyk but the rematch (which I didn't score) seemed much clearer to Usyk.
Unless Fury beats a top contender in the meantime, what do the public get from this fight?
And what happens in Dubois wins later this month?

No, the first 2 fights, especially the second one put it to bed.Taansend wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025, 11:20 Does anyone want to see Fury Usyk III?

But Fury sells, and there aren't many top level fighters out there.
Prob Fury v AJ or DDD will sell more.
Uysk doesn't have any dance partners

Spencer Brown probably being spammed for tickets haha
Re: Fury retires........yawn
Although it's accepted Fury pushed Usyk closer than anyone else, I think Mairis Briedis gets completely overlooked.
Briedis lost a wafer thin majority decision to Usyk in a Cruiserweight world title unification. Admittedly the bout took place in Latvia but the result has aged extremely well. Maybe it's only talked about in Riga

And his only other losses were to Opetaia, one very close. He's arguably still a top 20 p4p fighter.THEBUTCH wrote: ↑03 Jul 2025, 13:30 Although it's accepted Fury pushed Usyk closer than anyone else, I think Mairis Briedis gets completely overlooked.

Fury v AJ. Or pretty much nothing
Been there. Done that.
Or DelBoy 4?
Whatever happens if true, Fury will
Need a warm up. Fabio?

Re: Fury retires........yawn
Wardley is far too risky as a warm up.
Think the level of his prior warm ups.
Much as I'd like Fury to shut up and disappear forever, a fight vs AJ is a nice career out for either of them.
Of course the contract negotiations and build up will be insufferable

Re: Fury retires........yawn
If fury smashed AJ in December then the trilogy would be bad but not terrible. But if he just goes into it strait away it’s truely awful.
2023- 1 fight where he scrapped a win vs a mma fighter in their first fight who dropped fury..(the same mma fighter went on to get absolutely clattered by AJ)
2024- lost to Usyk twice
2025- did not fight?
2026- fight Usyk?
I hope this is trolling, Parker and kabayal deserve a shot, Mabey both won’t get it but one of them should (Parker would make sense to me as he has been high level much longer)

Usyk rent free in Fury's head.
I'll be glad when this lot have moved on, it's gone very stale.

Yeah, but he doesn't think he lost. On planet Fury, he's still unbeaten.mickey1975 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 07:30Is that a bad thing? It bothers him he lost.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 05:52 Usyk rent free in Fury's head.

With Fury's history of mental health I'd say it is a bad thing to have it taking up so much of his thinking.mickey1975 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 07:30Is that a bad thing? It bothers him he lost.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑04 Jul 2025, 05:52 Usyk rent free in Fury's head.
