You could give it to Taylor on the basis of Serrano consciously throwing short continuously. I felt Serrano edged the previous two.

I had Serrano winning all 3 and she lost all 3.
That really has to suck.

I think where I differ from the judges is I give Taylor very little credit for a 3 arm punch combo with zero power… but I think that has been her bread and butter her entire career and somehow got her considered potential GWOAT.

I don’t quite understand how in pro boxing you can reward that pitter patter points style, it’s one of my main frustrations with the ams.

This.

The commentators were telling me Serrano was landing shots that I could see were nowhere near the target.

Even Ward was in on the act.

In the 10th he said ‘Serrano is having a lot of success this round with clean left & right hands’ & she hadn’t landed anything clean.

Bizarre.

I am not the world’s biggest Katie Taylor hater. She has elevated women’s boxing, she seems nice enough but I just flicked though her record…

I think I had her losing both person fights, both Cameron fights and all 3 Serrano fights…

I just don’t seem to see what the judges see, I am unsure if I have ever seen her land a meaningfull shot… (mabey that’s a step too far).

She won gold back when the Olympics was a point fighting shambles which makes sense. Didn’t medal once they started scoring rounds.

Fair play to her, and she is an icon, I just don’t see her career as 1:1000th what others do.

That's a bold take... clear? What clear rounds did Taylor win? I am not convinced Taylor won a single "clear" round..

there was not a single round that Taylor landed at least 3 more punches than Amanda.... there is not one singular Katy Taylor punch that made me think "woah good shot", she was just arm punch flurrying now and then...

So without any big shots, and not clearly outlanding her opponent, how could you possibly have Taylor on the back foot scoring a clear victory. (I am perfectly ok with you having her winning, just not clear)

lmao, lemme guess 4th fight coming so that serrano can have another chance to win? just keep going until she finally does it

the last two the promotion seemed like it was to line serrano up with a win and elevate her as a face of women's boxing in the us

This one didn’t live up to the first 2..

Spark was lost.

Sad way to close off the trilogy.

CompuBox shows that each landed 70 punches during the contest.

Taylors comments about Chantelle Cameron were unnecessarily snide and wrong. Cameron boxed her head off in the first fight despite what the judges thought.

On paper, Taylor has an incredible record which easily gives her the best record in the history of women's boxing. However, nearly every big fight she's had, against top 10 p4p opponents, has been incredibly close with her getting favours in all but one close UD, split or majority decision.

She is top level and brought the sport forward but it must be infuriating for the other top women in the game.

Cracking atmosphere but the fight was a bore, Taylor looked like she deserved it, her countering edged it for me, Serrano pressed for the whole fight but repeatedly fell short, she should've tried to make it a brawl but she allowed Taylor to nick the rounds

She has spent a very long time as the A side. I was turned off by the first Persoon fight that she lost, and then there were A side decisions smattered throughout her career.

how do they make profit with those types of huge paydays, or is this some social statement event where its about more than that?

not many memorable trilogies that were 3-0

Netflix probably over pay for events they do have over 300m worldwide customers so it isn't as far-fetched them paying over 20m for an event

Those stats don't look right, the other 2 fights were lively, and returned similar punch stats
