Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Re: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Blimey, so this card is £25, or you can get a “special deal” to combine this and next weeks card for £40.

Didn’t realise I set the poll to end on June 12 and not July.

Definitely a tough one for him taking on this guy in New York, so I guess he’s got zero fan base in the UK, which is a shame. Otherwise Turki will be putting it on here to give him hometown advantage, because he clearly wants him to win, but he’s up against it in the Big Apple.
The DAZN deal is £25, sign up is a free weeks trial then cancel, leaving it at just 25….

Sheeraz is a hype job, Berlanga's gonna put him to sleep.
N.B. This post will not age well.

It doesn't mean anything but looking at Canelo's opponents since Bivol (all points wins for Canelo) & it goes....
Golovkin - Never fought again
Ryder - Kayoed by a fighter moving up in weight
Charlo - Never fought again
Munguai - One win then kayoed by a fighter moving up in weight
Berlanga - One win & will he get kayoed by a fighter moving up in weight
Skull - Still running around the Middle East

Re: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Berlanga stops him IMO.
He has the better CV as well, so I don't know why he's getting so much criticism in the comments from casuals. He beat the hell out of Quigley, and did somewhat better against Canelo than the likes of Callum Smith, Kovalev, BJS.
Sheeraz is a bit of a weight bully and another product of the UK boxing hypetrain.
I still remember when they matched him against that Ukranian fella who was undefeated, so looked good on his record, but who must have been no more than 5 foot 6

kovalev did pretty good vs canelo, even on one card and only slightly behind on the others when stopped in the 11th. berlanga went the distance but was pretty much shutout. he did do better than cal smith though

Can't believe DAZN are charging £25 to watch Shakur, who's never been in an entertaining fight, and a joint main event featuring a couple of fringe world level super mids
I was expecting a reduced price of £15 or even a tenner.
Game changed.

It hadn’t even occurred to me that this card could be ppv until I read it a couple of days ago.
The participants, the USA time, the fact that it’s one week before the big one, surely this all adds up to record low numbers over here.

£25ppv (so £36+ of earnings gross) for this card on top of monthly subscription!? Won't be too long before DAZN disappears up its own arse IMO.

Still a lot of money for this card I think and presumably once you used up this free trial deal you can't do it again for another card in the future that is worth paying for?MightyWarrior wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025, 03:36
The DAZN deal is £25, sign up is a free weeks trial then cancel, leaving it at just 25….

Not sure.. I signed up for the free trial and tried to cancel immediately, although couldn’t do it until 24 hours later.. tried again and did. Then it offers you something like 60% off future sign up if you don’t leave.Controversial wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 06:15Still a lot of money for this card I think and presumably once you used up this free trial deal you can't do it again for another card in the future that is worth paying for?MightyWarrior wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025, 03:36

I could’ve watched it free on the fire stick, but I don’t wanna stay up all night or 3 am or whatever so I’ll watch it tomorrow morning without knowing the result
I mean, I get a round of 3 drinks at the pub in London and it’s 25 quid…
It’ll be worth it as long as we get the international feed DAZN commentary, rather than the cretin Adam Smith, who Let’s hope is off gambling at a London casino somewhere instead.
Presumably it’s Dave Morell up first at 10:30 UK?
Re: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
That's okay then. Let's make boxing the preserve of middle aged people with London money. F*ck the kids on estates and elsewhere in the world.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 10:21I mean, I get a round of 3 drinks at the pub in London and it’s 25 quid…Controversial wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 06:15Still a lot of money for this card I think and presumably once you used up this free trial deal you can't do it again for another card in the future that is worth paying for?MightyWarrior wrote: ↑11 Jul 2025, 03:36

The gentrification of boxing will be its downfall, guaranteed.
You'd be doing more for the sport if you watched these events on your firestick and donated your money to an amateur gym towards subs.

Yeah well I’m not saying it’s righteous, we’re all going to hell in a hand basket and if a despot like Turki starts putting on fights on the planet Mars, I’ll tune in anyway.

Stevenson at 2am probably knock people out
