I might be wrong, but I feel the guy is massively overhyped. He stank last time out

That he did.
If we buy the weight-drained excuse (and Adames being a bit better than we thought) then surely Shiraz* has more class and variety...?
Any result seems likely - that makes it a good fight.

turki kept speaking out against guys winning decisions fighting like that, then first fight on his main card one of them gets a questionable decision lol

the judge who scored it 96-93 morrell , john mckaie, also has a track record of terrible scores, how do these guys keep getting the big gigs

really good fight. great pressure by Matias but the cleaner shots by puello.
could score it any way. but someone will get tired here...

very effective back foot stuff from AP, but feel like Matt is getting to him...
3-1 Matt.
3-1 Matt.

You gotta work!
You gotta win every round from now on

I love boxing... and I love 50-50 fights... and when you have close fights decisions get tricker... but...
2 fights in, and it feels like judges have got it wrong twice... (I didn't see the first half of the khataev fight).
I cant think of another sport where its so common for the result to wrong (or at the very least controversial). Its also a brutal sport/business, so those decisions can cost the loser millions of dollars long term.

terrific battle both deserved to win.
The Latin Snake vehement that it's the wrong winner,, but this one is NOT a robbery.
Close AF, what you like ? and the judges gave a razor-thin Maj Decision with Matt nicking a 2 pt fight on coming fwd.
What we saw.

mora is an asbolute homer cheerleader for the guy who is more of a hit and move boxer, he's had some wacky takes on fights because of it. i remember him thinking ultra negative alex martin beat michael mckinson, when everyone else who saw that fight had it like 98-92 mm
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Well, if he ALWAYS picks the backfoot stylist that's fine - that's what he likes.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 21:12mora is an asbolute homer cheerleader for the guy who is more of a hit and move boxer, he's had some wacky takes on fights because of it. i remember him thinking ultra negative alex martin beat michael mckinson, when everyone else who saw that fight had it like 98-92 mm
What boils my greens is these judges who score Hughie vs Parker one fight then completely change their fornicating tune next fight.

Well he scored for Khaive the fight before... so I guess in that sense he changed his tune too on front foot vs back foot...skanksta wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 21:26Well, if he ALWAYS picks the backfoot stylist that's fine - that's what he likes.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 21:12mora is an asbolute homer cheerleader for the guy who is more of a hit and move boxer, he's had some wacky takes on fights because of it. i remember him thinking ultra negative alex martin beat michael mckinson, when everyone else who saw that fight had it like 98-92 mm

but people can have a pressure vs clean shot bias. some rate body shots more some less. some think 2 decent shots is better than 1 good shot ect ect. you can learn peoples biases but its a pretty complicated algorithm and those bias only partially influence how to get to a score...
also, 95% of the time people are judging a fight in its entirety (even pros and cons) rather than specific rounds much less specific sequences that decided specific rounds...
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Sheeraz can have success with his uppercuts. The big question is how he will respond to pressure.
This Shakur Stevenson fight, I can just see being a stinker boring decision.

Will zepeda attempt to throw a billion punches this fight? will he have any success... this is a weird style match up.... I think sharp counter power man would chin zep easily (think tank), but I am still a bit unsure how Shakur's style will hold of zep.
I was about to put 5 bucks on Shakur cause I do think he is far better.... but then I saw zep was paying 8 bucks... so I threw 5 on him to win 40, instead of throwing 5 on Shakur to win 4 shillings.

This could be another tough one for the judges if it goes that far...
Shakur looks sharper, zep busier...
I think zeps jab to the body has been a surprisingly good weapon while shakure is covered up waiting for his gap to counter. didn't expect that but it makes sense.
