he looked really good, but then again he looked really good at mw until suddenly he didnt. then all of a sudden it's not the right weight and he's overhyped and all that
defo interested in his next fight, hopefully keeps up a good level

I think Sheeraz has the height, reach and power to beat an aging Canelo next year.
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Well Morrell v Khataev could have been a draw.
Many people though Puello deserved a UD
Stevenson won 10 or 11 rounds on all of the judges scorecards.
And Sheeraz did a job a lot quicker than expected.
So I got no prediction right, but all were close so I give myself a C+

Didnt realise it was ppv until late in the evening. What a shame that a great win by a British fighter will only have been seen live by a handful of people. It was asking me to get DDD at the same time for 40 quid for both. No chance.

And these companies wonder why there is so much streaming going on .
Times are bloody hard for most nowadays and that is just too much to ask IMO.
To be fair, I know it isn't the same but DAZN uploaded the highlights very quickly.

Blimey! Wasn’t expecting that, well done Sheeraz

I was very critical of Sheeraz during and after the Adames fight, but fair play, that's a statement win, looking forward to seeing where he goes from here.

He's very flatfooted, so they need to be careful with his matchmaking.

Kudos from me and absolutely fornicate all from Mr Hill or Mr PowerTaansend wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 01:55Well Morrell v Khataev could have been a draw.

Excellent analysisgregregegg wrote: ↑12 Jul 2025, 21:47 physically Shakur looks way more solid. I think his key shot will be covering up while zep flurries then a quick lead right shovel hook to the bread basket...
hard to not score rounds to zep with his activity... but close

Sheeraz would’ve been a great fighter under Manny Steward. He’s essentially a Kronk fighter now and I think that’s how we’ll see the best of him. Andy Lee is such a perfect fit.
Decent card overall. Stayed up to watch it but was half asleep on the couch after a couple drinks.
Shak reminds me of James Toney, not exactly style wise but in terms of how the fights go. If you’re a counter puncher, you need punches to counter. I found it entertaining

Sheeraz should face Adames or it's time to face the big boys of the division, Canelo and the others.

Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Matias and Puello put on a pretty good fight, most entertaining fight I've seen Puello in, I thought he done enough, 115-113 but a draw or Matias close is fine, it was close and competitive all he way through, Matias came forward from the start, was aggressive, got up close, worked the body and drove in uppercuts but Puello done a good job of holding him off and getting through with some lovely counters, he didn't run or move much Puello, maybe could've made it easier, made Matias look for him but he was happy to fight him on the inside, Matias came into things middle rounds and put a few rounds together, banged the body and had Puello fighting to hold him off, i thought Puello finished well though, had a great 11th and done enough on my card to nick it

Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
He’s moved up to super middleweight now. Last night was at 168 which will suit him better
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
It was pretty enjoyable watching Berlanga get knocked out.
I've never seen a guy's ego go through the roof because he fought a big name fighter, and lost decisively to him, but that's exactly what happened to Berlanga. He's been acting like he's the sh*t, and he's a mega star just because he fought Canelo.
Sheeraz showed him his place in the sport. A name opponent.

He strangely still looks even bigger than 168, dwarfed Berlanga completely. He could be fighting at light heavy. The joys of modern sports science/conditioning etc allowing fighters to cut weight on the day...JamesPhilips wrote: ↑13 Jul 2025, 10:37He’s moved up to super middleweight now. I'm really not understanding the Canelo comments either. Canelo is about 5 foot 7. This guy punches harder than Bivol, is taller and has 3 inches more reach. It would be another bizzare matchup imo and not a fight that seems natural. Highly doubt Canelo would be interested in that after last night.
