Azumah Nelson vs. Lupe Pintor

Post by scorpio83 »

15 Rounds Featherweight Bout

What happened if Pintor campaigned at featherweight after losing his WBC Junior Featherweight title because he was 3lbs overweight against Samart Payakaroon rather than retiring for 8 years and what if Pintor faced Azumah Nelson at featherweight? The Professor would overwhelm Pintor behind his jabs and counterpunches to either take a decision or stopping him in 10 rounds. What do you guys think and who do you got?

No way, Jose, or in this case, Lupe. Pintor too small and too shot for Nelson. Nelson destroys him in about 7.

Probably a one-sided fight while it lasts. Pintor was 30 when he got smoked by Payakaroon but was boxing old after years of wars and would be the naturally smaller fighter. Professor would beat him up and win via TKO around round 10, IMO

Azumah Nelson was the stronger fighter. He was faster than Lupe Pintor. Pintor never fought at featherweight against someone of The Professor's caliber.

Nelson by knockout in 10 against a game Pintor that gave his all.
