Wikipedia have limit information of it and it look like I have to buy the book for it but does anyone have information for him

Get the books by Allen (Full Bio) and Lang (Wolgast fight and SF area) but they are expensive.

Charley White a well known referee and manager active in the 1890s to 1910's wrote a series of articles about boxing and did a couple about Bat and one on Wolgast who at time of writing (1911) was the champ

Also Lou Eisen has a podcast and goes over the 42 round Gans fight, i think there are at least 2 episodes about 50 minutes long.
