Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois II | PPV - 19 July 2025
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois II | PPV - 19 July 2025
I'm going with DD early. Inside 5 rounds. I've just got a feeling this is going to be an upset.
Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois II | PPV - 19 July 2025
Despite being been a believer in Dubois ever since his losing effort against Joyce, I do have a hard time seeing how he (or anyone else) gets the better of Usyk.
Daniel has really backed up his potential over his last few fights, but I’m not sure he has improved where is matters for this one.
I’d love to see the shock but I don’t have a great feeling about Saturday.
Right now I need some fellow boxerc’ers to stoke up some optimism. Saying Usyk is suddenly on the slide won’t cut it.

It's been long while since we had an upset. A one punch upset in this division.Kilburn wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025, 12:25 Despite being been a believer in Dubois ever since his losing effort against Joyce, I do have a hard time seeing how he (or anyone else) gets the better of Usyk.

I do t think Usyk is on the decline and is far better than DD. I just feel in my bones that this could be a defining fight at Wembley. You know, I just think one big haymaker might be on the cards.
Other than that it's a painful night for DD, but I'm plumbing for that big overhand.

Re: Oleksandr Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois II | PPV - 19 July 2025
usyk's taken some pretty good shots from huge guys but never gone down
dubs is a big hitter, but at top level i see him more as a steadily beat them into a pulp rather than an ice them with one or two shots guy. like the wins he got vs miller and hrg. hrg and joyce were far more shocked by zhang's power, shot for shot.
even if dubs lands some big bombs, it's likely far from over. i think he still needs sustained success
at usyk's age, there is the question of will he be past it, but i thought he was pretty much as good as ever in the fury rematch, more than enough to beat dan again. on form, he has all the tools to beat dubois, and of course did it handily before by knockout
so i really dont see a different winner unless usyk has fallen a good amount since his last fight, and that can be a tough thing to gauge until the bell rings

I actually think he ducked Parker as well.golden_labrador wrote: ↑14 Jul 2025, 05:59 I'm still unconvinced by Dubois. the way he was rocked by Lerena, the way he gave up against Usyk, how he was caught by AJ still will be making Usyk smile
And I was backing Parker to beat him.

I like Parker but I see Dubois winning a shoot-out there.
I’d be pretty confident Dubois believes that too.

I'm trying to get excited for this fight.
A full unification of all the heavyweight belts, something that was a dream for ages.
I've watched Uysk and his training clips and tried to avoid listening to Daniel Dubios
But I'm still meh about it.
I'll watch it, maybe live, maybe later on YouTube. Must be spoiled.

I hate the fight cause I feel its just, "Usyk wins unless he got old"... at least with Parker or Kabayal it would be a fresh challenge (although still likely "did usyk get old"...

Usyk said in an interview I heard today that he has two fights then he’s done, that’s including this Dubois rematch

Oleksandr Usyk Reveals All On Shock Split With Promoter Alex Krassyuk Just Before Dubois Rematch
Oleksandr Usyk has lifted the lid on his split with long-term promoter Alex Krassyuk.
A lot has happened since that first fight though, with one notable change coming recently when it was revealed that Usyk and Krassyuk would no longer be working with one another, with Krassyuk explaining the situation on social media.
“It’s been a tremendous journey — 12 years of unbelievable success. Two young dreamers met each other to change the game. Back in 2013, I gave you my word — and I kept it.
“At the time, no one believed we were capable of achieving what we set out to do. But by the grace of God, we completed the mission impossible… A dream come true!!! Thank you for all we’ve gone through and for the honour to be the lifetime promoter of the Double Undisputed. May the Lord bless you and guide your next steps. Thanks God for everything.”
It came as a surprise to many boxing fans, especially due to it only being a few weeks out from the meeting with Dubois, but Usyk has now told The Stomping Ground that while their boxing relationship may have ended, they will still continue to work with one another on other projects.
“Listen we not break with my relationship with Alex. I build business, Usyk 17, Alex Krassyuk now work with this company. We stop relationship in boxing but Alex help me with other work. We work a lot of years, 12. We win great trophy but we continue work but different work.”

Most of the time i don't watch the build up, press conferences and weigh in for fights anymore. Usually just fire up the stick on fight night.KiwiRider wrote: ↑15 Jul 2025, 05:06 I'm trying to get excited for this fight.
