I very much doubt we will be going into Wembley before 7pm. I'm not expecting to be down before 5pm anyway.

Looking at the seat maps, this has sold better than AJ v Dubois.

I don’t have Sky so looks like signing up to DAZN my only option, pretty poor card so begrudge paying £25 to watch one fight

‘I know it will be that way’: Oleksandr Usyk intends to fight in Ukraine before retiring

Oleksandr Usyk says he’ll have a homecoming fight before he walks away from the sport for good.

While Oleksandr Usyk will rematch Daniel Dubois with the undisputed heavyweight title on the line once again, Usyk and fans alike are already aware that the end of the Ukrainian’s career is on the horizon. But as Usyk tells ESPN, he fully intends to fight at least once more in his home country before he retires from the sport.

“I’m not hoping ... I know it will be that way,” Usyk told ESPN prior to his fight against Dubois, when asked if hopes he will fight in Ukraine again. “Everything I start doing, and everything I have started, I’ll finish to the end.”

Usyk is currently training in Spain because he says it’s too dangerous for him to fight in Kyiv with the ongoing war. In fact, Usyk corrects himself to say that he actually could train in Kyiv but that he wouldn’t be able to get sparring partners to come there, which is why he’s holding his camp outside of the country.

Before Usyk can look forward to a big homecoming event, however, he’ll need to deal with Dubois who will be coming into this rematch with a new confidence that he likely didn’t have the first time he faced Usyk. Whether or not that will be enough to topple Usyk, we’ll find out this weekend.

Just watched the first fight again and it really gives you a feel of what DDD is up against here.

Usyk was superb to be honest. He had Dubois backing away for most of the fight, and was peppering him with straights.

Dubois comes into the rematch in a better place. He was so on his toes in the last fight, think he much have expended a load of energy bouncing around, hopefully a little more relaxed this time he can make a better fist of it, sits down on his shots a little more.

Yeah that’s what I’m hoping for, he’s got to try to take something out of Usyk early on.

If Dubois is genuinely confident going into this then there will surely be solid reasoning behind it, given Usyk outboxed and stopped him less than two years ago.

Think he listens to what he's told , and his dad and trainer have told him he's got it in the bag , he believes them so he's been acting all out of character and full off it , UNFORTUNATLY FOR HIM uSYK DOES'NT BELIEVE HIS DAD OR TRAINER AND WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT .

I really believe Usyk is the consumate profesional , and will always give 100% but DD and his trainer have actually given him a reason to prepare 150% , just don't know why they DD and team , did'nt keep it shut , just get on and let his fist do the talking , Knocking out a shop worn AJ stopping a well past it Hygrovic , and beating a fat Miller are a far cry from the guy who outboxed , out toughed , , out worked and finally stopped him , the guy who he has gave a reason to make it personal and do it again , which he will , can't wait for Sunday morning our time , its watch this fight , then straight out on my bike for a 2000 klm 3- 4 day trip , I'll be packed and ready to go on saturday

Wouldn't surprise me if the canvas is mysteriously slippery for this fight. Wouldn't be the first time it's happened at a certain promoter's fight.

I don't know if it classes as "stacked" but the Dubois-Joshua card was less than a year ago and had:

Buatsi vs Hutchinson
Cacace vs Warrington
Kelly vs Davis (should have been Liam Smith I think?)
Sheeraz vs Denny
Chamberlain vs Padley

On paper all half-decent matchups.

Still, bravery points for putting Okolie and Edmondson on the same card

And about a tenth of the crowd were interested, if that. Everyone is there for the main event and Usyk in particular.

These days the fight is on YouTube within a day or two. Pretty easy to avoid spoilers with boxing now.
£25 is a lot of money for one fight, especially if it's over in a couple of rounds

I have never understood it , any half interested boxing fan would lap that undercard up .

Just shows who the target audience is .

The Ring on YouTube has been putting up full fights in HD within a few days.
It's been saving me a small fortune and a lot of waiting through guaranteed knock over fights and mid card rapper crap.
And shockingly bad cards like this one.
I would end up hating boxing if I had to watch this whole card. :witzend:

PBC are the worst at uploading fights.

They wait a year.

They’re daft. Upload it within a week and you’ll get 100k’s views immediately. Another money making tool is Youtube

IMO DDD is coming across as overconfident ahead of the rematch.
