Aye, I think MR will put him on a Sheffield show though at Park Arena

My mate used to spar Conway. He was very good.

Not a puncher, but could well be the fastest and most elusive I fought

Re: Dave Allen.
The Board has ordered Jamie TKV vs. Frazer Clarke for the vacant British title, who do we reckon Dave Allen will box next in that case? Presumably it will be on that Sheffield card and with Allen's WBA belt at stake.

Re: Dave Allen.
Shame that Allen chose to defend that fake belt, He could have beaten TKV
Re: Dave Allen.
I guess TKV, god knows who would show it, would be for pocket change.
Allen can probably get a bigger fight.
Clarke should win this easily enough

Re: Dave Allen.
If he can't get the British then he does have options if someone is willing to stump up the cash for the right opponent. Unlikely to be on the Sheffield card but one later in the year:
Vacant Commonwealth belt vs Ahio/Barriere/Brown/Goodall/Teremoana/McKean/Pedro
Defend the English belt vs Hughie/Dacres or an undefeated regional fighter until the British becomes available
Challenge for the EBU belt vs Xhoxhaj
Take a bigger money but high risk fight vs Riakporhe/Okolie
Target a weak ranked opponent vs Hysa/Kadiru/Pettigrew/Charr
Gamble on targeting a faded veteran if someone is willing to stump up the cash vs Pulev/Wilder/Joyce

Re: Dave Allen.
I didn't realise that both the Commonwealth and English belts are vacant at the moment. English is obviously a step-down from the British and maybe Allen won't be interested but it would still be something to be English champion whilst waiting for a shot at the Londsdale belt.joshj909 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025, 09:23 If he can't get the British then he does have options if someone is willing to stump up the cash for the right opponent. Re: Dave Allen.
Allen is looking for the biggest payday, it's not about belts
Re: Dave Allen.
In my head he beat Fisher for the English but clearly not. I think if he has longer term plans at the end of this year or next year, winning the English belt would be worthwhile.chinarich wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025, 11:35I didn't realise that both the Commonwealth and English belts are vacant at the moment. Re: Dave Allen.
Yes, I thought the same before the rematch, I think I even posted on the fight thread that it was for the English plus the WBA belt. Fisher had won the Southern Area at some point so that was probably where I was getting confused...joshj909 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025, 12:32In my head he beat Fisher for the English but clearly not. Re: Dave Allen.
Saw Dave has been training with Fisher, thought that was good of him and the content was funny too. Dave said he is fighting in October in an interview yesterday, no idea who it is. He was very honest saying he would not go anywhere neat Kabayel. He was heavily involved in the commentary this weekend and I thought he came across with real insight, I enjoyed listening to it. How did others find it if they listened/saw it?

I think it was Matchroom thing tbh, Dave said they are very different but was very accommodating. I am just glad his dad did not rock upmickey1975 wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 15:34I thought it was very odd of Fisher to go up there.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 14:59 Saw Dave has been training with Fisher, thought that was good of him and the content was funny too. Re: Dave Allen.
I always like listening to dave he knows the sport and is honest , seen him talking about the DD fight and he brought up and was brutaly honest saying DD's corner was a shambles with Daniels dad sticking his nose in , What is it with dads every trainer has it ,SeanBrennan wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 14:59 Saw Dave has been training with Fisher, thought that was good of him and the content was funny too. Re: Dave Allen.
I have always enjoyed interviews with him but I've recently got into Dave's YouTube channel, his fight previews/reviews are really good and there's some decent content up there; plus he is a really funny chap. Always comes across as likeable and is probably far too honest for his own good.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑20 Jul 2025, 14:59 Saw Dave has been training with Fisher, thought that was good of him and the content was funny too. He called out Ortiz on his Instagram... decent call out, surely Dave is favorite at this point.... cant see Ortiz going to shefeild to fight Dave Allen but who knows.
Re: Dave Allen.
I imagine it would be quite satisfying to beat the piss out of a faded drug cheat that beat the piss out of him. I'd like to see Dave face Yoka and maybe even Whyte after that to keep the storyline as a drug cheat avenger.gregregegg wrote: ↑21 Jul 2025, 05:32 He called out Ortiz on his Instagram... decent call out, surely Dave is favorite at this point.... cant see Ortiz going to shefeild to fight Dave Allen but who knows.
