He’s been looking overconfident since he beat AJ.

And especially since the promotion to this began.

Ducked Parker.. went silent then this fight got announced.

I only see three scenarios where DDD wins.
1. Usyk comes apart overnight.
2. Skulduggery with the ring, the ref and/or the judges.
3. Punch from the gods.

anyone thinking Usyk might shock us and knock DDD out in the first round, continue on where Lerena failed to finish it? Would he risk it or could he even hit hard enough to do it? Is Lerena such a bigger puncher? DDD is probably going to fly out the blocks like he did against AJ, could be quite open for Usyk to go for it.

Unlikely to happen, but imagine the scenes

I think Uysk is a bit too safety first to do that, especially against the bigger man, the Ukrainian will chip away bit by bit, out skill him.
Unless he has got old, which of course will happen at some point, I don't see DDD having a chance

As someone firmly rooting for Dubois I’d be more concerned about the apparent over confidence had Dubois not already shared the ring with Usyk, and experienced just about the worst result possible.

I’ll clutch any straws going for this one, so I’m prepared to take the confidence as genuine, based on what Dubois learnt about Usyk last time, versus how he feels today.

I think all the bluster and confidence from Dubois will vanish after the first round when he realises he is hitting air and getting tagged just like last time. After that I think he will be gunshy and we see a repeat of the last fight, except it may go the distance, and only because of Uysk's age.
Nothing Dubois has done or learned since the first fight puts him on the same level as Uysk. And Uysk does better in rematches.

Seems a bit of a reach. Dubois advantage of youth isn't enough for me but you never know.

ya usyk, the guy who will fight anyone, with like 300 fights between ams and pros, is really shook by fighting a guy he already handily beat and knocked out

Dubois manager and Don Charles were juat embarrassing. I dont think ive ever seen a fighter with a group around him so deliluded, there is confidence then delusion and this is what I see.

I cheered on Ali, and Uysk is the best I've seen since then.

Totally agree. Not bothered about Dubois being British. Usyk is a class act.

Not at all. My Usyk allegiance almost got me a bludgeoning in a Horbury pub during and after Joshua 2 but he's just too great to feign animosity towards.
Maybe words like that didn't help...
