Definitely. I'm still mystified at how much of a meal Fury made of Ngannou. A non boxer making his debut against an experienced world class operator. Makes no sense to me.

Fury is a great (literally in all senses) heavyweight boxer with tremendous courage, but he is a crappy athlete - really crap.

Ngannou is a freak athlete, so is AJ.

Tyson was underprepared for Ngannou, took him lightly, and was physically and athletically humbled. Simple as that. Had he prepared properly he'd have boxed Ngannou's ears off but not have stopped him or put a real dent in him with straight shots. He may have stopped him with uppercuts, no guarantee though.

AJ's power is in a different league to Fury's. He took Ngannou seriously. That's that.

Yeah, but how do we know that for sure? He underperformed, but the rest is just speculation. It was akin to a top sprinter running neck and neck with a decathlete

ALL before the Ngannou fight Eddie Hearn is saying that Fury and Ngannou was going to be an exhibition with no knock downs. I'm sure we could find a ton of links to him saying this, and rumours that this was to be the case, all discussed on here and other forums.

This is what Fury signs up to, with a NDA saying that they will never publicly admit to this and it's sold as a competitive fight. As he knows he doesn't have a real fight on his hands and just a move around, Tyson doesn't train at all.

Ngannou bets on himself and goes off script, putting Fury over. He probably has to pay some sort of serious penalty out of his purse for this, but he'll get at least another fight out of it. Fury, as money orientated as ever, continues with his contracted move around and is hugely embarrassed.

To admit the fight was a 'work' and not the actual fight it was sold to be would cause all sorts of legal problems, and so it remains forever a secret.

Hearn never ever mentioned the 'no-knockdown exhibition' he was convinced the fight was going to be ever again, did he?

Probably bollocks, but it does blow my mind that after that Ngannou was annihilated by AJ and then doesn't even seem to have been offered a fight in boxing again, let alone competed. You would've thought Fury would have offered him out again for an easy payday? Fury seemed to f*cking hate him behind the scenes as well and there was some needle with them around the AJ fight.

you're right. i just had a look at the incredible opponents Yoka has faced as a pro and he must be so tough to have not been stopped by any of them. why would we expect an absolute unit of a former world champion and knock-out artist to KO him early?

It took a prime Joshua 7 rounds to stop Breazeale. Fury couldn't stop Ngannou that Joshua demolished in 2. It took Wilder 9 rounds to stop Szpilka, who has been stopped in less than four rounds multiple times. People weren't calling for the retirement of these guys after these fights.
