Usyk just levels above. His counter punches were on point and Dubois had no gameplan other than coming forward and walking into them.

The way don charles spoke to Dubois at the interview was a bit weird.

The problem is there isn't really a template to beat him.

Both Fury fights were pretty close, but despite huge physical advantages, he couldn't outbox and outlast him.

A lot of the thinking has been to make size count, jump on him, out muscle him, but nothing works!

I don't think Fury had the punch resistance to pull that off. Clearly nobody in this era can beat him on the outside. I think Parker will just be an outside fight where Joe gets outhustled. The only interesting fight for me is the Kabayel fight because Kabayel is destroying his opponents to the body and has very good mobility himself. His chin looks OK and he looks like he can keep up with Usyk. Bigger men than Usyk have been writhing in pain on the canvas due to his body attack and he will come after Usyk and try to get inside. Nobody is capable of beating Usyk at range at the moment. If you put a gun to my head for a prediction, I'd take Kabayel to beat him. It's a big call, but I've been very impressed with him.

You would think, because Fury is so good himself, that his size advantage would be insurmountable. For me this is just further proof of Uysks greatness that he could overcome the big physical disadvantage.

Of course styles make fights, and while I agree that Kabayel is the best fit there, I still don't give him a chance.
Over the pairs of fights, each of the British fighters gave it their best shot, tried everything!

Fury did well in both fights, AJ the second, DDD was nowhere near, but none of them won. Uysk answered every question.

Perhaps they are all sh*t!

Well, you know that's not true !

They are all excellent wins for Usyk in their own way.

We all love to speculate about who would or wouldn't give Oleksander a real challenge and amongst more discerning boxing fans Kabayel's name quite rightly keeps popping up.

You'd be a brave man or a fool to bet against Usyk, but all I ask...is let's see the fight and put an end to the speculation :box:

I don't think so. I don't think it's that. he probably does need people around him to make sure he's not taken advantage of though. could be wrong

Briedis almost did, and we haven't seen him against anyone fleetfooted at heavy. Fury covers a fair old canvas on his bike, but Usyk was able to track him to deny angles. Agree Kabayel is probably his foremost challenge at the mo.

Mags mentioned Jalolov, and I'd find that really interesting. I'll be a bit disappointed by anyone else, but obviously Jal doesn't have the ranking, so Kabayel's my choice. Re: Parker, I think wins over the previously unbeaten Makh and Sanchez are better than Wilder and Bakole, and he went one better against Zhang. Wardley and Itauma are the next undefeated heavies after him.

I think if Usyk wants Fury again it's because he believes he can stop him to underscore his previous wins. Joshua accepted his losses and moved on, so there's no residual animosity there.

I know it's the minority view, but I'd have loved to have seen Haye against Usyk in his prime. Cos Usyk's reset the division to Tyson and Holyfield's era of smaller champs, but unless Kabayel's good enough, he doesn't have a dance partner.

He got up at 10 and walked to his corner.

Yes he was finished in that he wasn't going to win but he chose to stop.

Am I being harsh on Dubois if I think he did worse tonight?
:maybe:
He didn't come close to winning a round, and got stopped earlier.
I know Uysk tends to do better in rematches, but there was an interim period between fights where Dubois gained lots of experience as well.
I didn't think he was going to win, I just expected him to do more.

It’s not just that either. He might have tried better.. but at the same time, you’re in the ring with The Cat.

Usyk was also better.

It’s the same thing with the Fury rematch. Many believed Fury was much better, but Usyk still matched that and was also better.

We can talk all we want on how to beat him
Personally I think a double cover take everything on the arms. Walk up and throw with him for dear life when close is the only way . Because there's no heavyweight skill full or fast enough to outbox him . But there's no heavyweight good enough to do it my way so he beats them all agree kayabel is probably the only one who can come close....But the whole Don Charles insult the man is never going to work it just got him mad . DON Charles acted like a prick right throughout Dd I think is a little bit slow and acted and said what he was told too
