One Last Historic Run for Pacquiao?

Post by JuniorTorres720 »

I know it's wishful thinking and yes, I am a massive Manny Pacquiao fan. But, Pac-Man could realistically have one last great run left in him. Thoughts?

At this stage I would much rather Manny not fight anymore. As bittersweet as it would be to see him retire for good, I would prefer that to seeing him run the risk of getting hurt. But, of course Manny has stated that he intends to fight on taking it one fight at a time.

This would be a great ending to a legendary career:

Rematch Barrios to win the WBC World Title

Fight Rolly to win the WBA World Title and unify the WBA/WBC titles

Rematch Floyd in a massive unification welterweight showdown.

Again, wishful thinking and I understand this is boxing and it's an unforgiving sport. But, if anyone can achieve such a feat, it's Manny Pacquiao. :bag: :yay:

He is going to be 47 (!!!) in december.. 73 pro fights and at least 12 years past his prime. If he can still do something relevant in boxing? ...well it will be no surprise to me, because he is real ATG...but come on, just hang up the gloves and enjoy life.

I would much rather he retires to but the man says he's gonna keep fighting *insert crying emoji here* lol. If he is, I'd rather he avoid the really dangerous fights like a Norman or Haney and even Tank. I'd rather he go for guys like Barrios and Rolly and then face Mayweather if he can get the fight. All fights are dangerous at this point but I hope he stays healthy.

I could see him fighting Ryan Garcia in 2026.

I could see him beating one of the alphabet holders who wouldn’t have won a belt in most eras. There are tons of them around for him to fight. Also, I am sure Jake Paul would fight him at 190lbs

If he's gonna continue fighting the only guys out there he can potentially beat that would be worth fighting I think are Mario Barrios, Rolly Romero and possibly Ryan Garcia.

I sincerely hope they don't put him in with anyone tougher than one of those 3.

Crocker-Donovan are gonna fight for vacant IBF belt soon.

Don’t think pac ever fought for the IBF belt above the lighter weights.

Have to admit I had to look up who those two were and watch a clip. But yeah, they’d make good opponents for Manny Pac

Well he just fought their Champion to a draw so he's as good as the WBC Champion. So that's reasonable considering.
