Despite Johnson not being a very good in Mythical fights, I think he would have a very good chance of winning. Could go either way.

Because Johnson was a great boxer. Was hard to hit, and was an accurate puncher. Some people get fooled by watching old film. Watch him closely and see what he is doing. In a humble moment, Ali once said Johnson was the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Johnson was the size of today's light heavyweights. I don't see people picking Bivol, Ward etc over Lewis

First, Johnson is a different human being than Ward and Bivol.
Second, Johnson was well over 200 for all his fights after Burns.
Third, Lewis struggled more with smaller heavyweights. Had a lot of trouble with Mavrovic who is virtually unknown when Lewis fought him. Looked terrible in the 2nd Holyfield fight.

His best wins were pre title and for those fights he was well under 200pounds. It appears he simply gained fat after winning the championship because he was fighting easy opponents and didn't feel he had to train hard. Johnsons best weight was probably 190.

So he's roughly the size of Roy Jones jr. In my opinion Roy's win over Toney is as good as anything Johnson did if not better and he didn't lose to guys like Griffin or Choynski. You really think Roy loses to anyone Johnson beat?

Most of his career, Jones was not roughly the same size as Johnson. Most of his career, Jones was not over 175.

As for Johnson losing to Griffin and Choynski- Well you should at least try to learn about boxing before your time. Johnson was inexperienced when he fought those guys. Nowhere near the fighter that he would become. He didn't have a full-time trainer. In Johnson's day, prospects did not automatically start out 15-0 against opponents that could not possibly lose to. Communcations and travel was nowhere close to what it is today. Fighters took whatever fight was available. sometimes your opponent was much bigger or smaller than you. Sometimes, much more experienced than you, or much less. Sometimes fighters took fights on short notice or too soon after their previous fight.

Would Jones have lost to anyone that Johnson beat? Of course. Had Jones fought Langford, Jeannette, or McVey, he would have lost badly. Not that he would ever have taken the fight with any of them.
