Whyte may be lucky to hear the bell to end the second round

The problem is, that technically whyte has always been cack
If he had sound fundamentals, it could be interesting but liklihood is, unless Moses gets too cocky, which is possible, its going to be an execution

Its crap.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025, 07:02 It’s an excellent piece, easy to critique someone’s writing but overall it’s a hell of a lot more interesting than most of the stuff that’s out there - a bang on description of what’s happening as well.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
Ituama doesn't throw haymakers though, he outboxes with speed and power and that's why he'll take out Whyte early. Dillian isn't the type to old man a prospect behind a tight guard is he? I watched Whyte v Tetteh again yesterday. Jesus!joshj909 wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025, 15:21I'd probably be more impressed if Itauma beats Whyte by wide decision than if he flattens him in a few rounds and uses a wide skill set to win the points. We've not seen him do anything except blast opponents away in a quick flurry which is not necessarily a bad thing but we don't know too much about how well he can do other thingssmiling assassin wrote: ↑04 Aug 2025, 14:38 It’s hard to see what Itauma really is until he gets chin checked or has been in with someone who is proven. I’ve never rated Whyte and always thought he’s average in a poor era of heavyweights. If Itauma blasts Whyte out of there I still don’t think we are any further on in knowing where he’s truly at.
In saying that I think he does look very very good
Moses will not need anything that he hasn't already shown to win this. Someone like Jermaine Franklin would be better if they want Moses to go a few rounds and solve some problems.
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
If you guys think Whyte is gonna be some challenge, you haven't seen his last outing.
This is where Whyte is at, then add 8 months.
I mean, it's bad.

How does someone like Whyte drop off this badly?
He was a live underdog against Fury, but turned up looking like he’d forgotten how to box. He was stood square on when he got KO’d.
Is it just age? Coming off PEDs as some suggest? Or has the fire just gone out?

I would dispute that. I posted a thread before the fight asking if anyone could make a case for Whyte to win. The answer was a resounding no.Frostieballs wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 05:15 How does someone like Whyte drop off this badly?

Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
He was definitely a live underdog before the fight but looked horrendous within the first minute of it. Terrible camp and terrible tactics and probably a year or two too late. On paper, he was arguably Fury's toughest opponent since returning from his ban and had beaten top 5/10 opponents Parker and Povetkin as well as too 15 opponents Chisora and Rivas. His style could have made it difficult for Fury to impose his size and strength given Whyte was very strong himself and was not afraid to wrestle a bit in the ring. He also had a mean left hook and body shots which could have been effective given the opportunity. However, we all saw the mess that the fight was...keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 06:36I would dispute that. A live underdog doesn't mean he is going to win, it just means he isn't completely out of his depth and it wouldn't be a complete shock if he pulled it off.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 06:36I would dispute that. I would agree with that, but the last guy he fought and Itouma are nowhere near proper champs (yet).Coco wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 05:22Or just the difference in levels between proper champs and gatekeepersFrostieballs wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 05:15 How does someone like Whyte drop off this badly?

To me, it means he has a chance of winning. Some can carry on longer than others.
His last fight was an eye opener, Tetteh isn't some master of movement or defense and Whyte was struggling so much for timing and at times accuracy.
Heck, even Big Fraser on a confidence booster after the Wardley fights blasted Tetteh out in less than a round- as did Dubois.
But Whyte took seven agonizing rounds...

I reckon might have been a few saying I think Fury wins, but if Whyte does this, or Fury has aged etc. etc.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑05 Aug 2025, 14:37To me, it means he has a chance of winning. ‘Just trying to execute the game plan’: Moses Itauma talks Aug. 16 fight with Dillian Whyte
Moses Itauma looks to take out a big name in British boxing in order to make his own ascension.
Moses Itauma takes DAZN inside his training camp ahead of his upcoming fight with Dillian Whyte and explains how he’s just keeping a level head and focusing on the task at hand rather than the event itself.
“Camp’s going smooth,” Itauma said. “With Dillian Whyte, he’s like another threat, obviously. Since I started my career all of them have posed a threat to me so obviously with like Dillian Whyte it’s just trying to execute the game plan as usual.
“Training with Ben [Davison] has been crazy because when I first joined the gym he kept telling me that deep down you love boxing. And at that point in time I really did feel like I hated boxing but then I feel like he kind of lit the fire back up because he showed me more to boxing than just throwing one-twos...There’s like a whole chess game to this boxing.”
Davison, for his part, shared some of these thoughts on Itauma’s fight.
“It’s a big step up, it’s a big name, it’s a big occasion. First time headling big Saudi card against someone who in my personal opinion in this recent era is the best era of British heavyweight boxing and Dillian’s been a significant part in that with his rivalry with AJ and he’s boxed Fury and he’s had some great fights with Derek...So everyone’s looking at Moses as the next one, the next key figure in the next generation in not just British heavyweights but world heavyweights, world boxing.”

Interesting to hear he was hating boxing, people forget how much boxing is in the head
Re: Dillian Whyte vs. Moses Itauma | PPV - 16 August 2025
Hopefully Whyte gets a few digs in and we can see what Ituama is made of, but there's a chance he gets flattened in a couple of rounds.

Whyte is shot to bits, that's why he got the call. This should be all over within a round, and the hype job will continue.
