It's a shame that AJ didn't fight Ngannou, so we could measure his and Fury's performance against the same opponent.
As the biggest critic of Fury on here even I didn't expect his demise to be so dramatic.
I guess you missed his next two fights. Still clearly the number two heavyweight in the world.
You mean the ones where he got the same results as Joshua against Usyk?

AJ is at the end of his career, a quality career,, and is looking to get as much money as possible.

Fury and JP are the biggest money fights out there.

How could he turn down like 100 million for the JP fight? It will probably be a career high payday

Career high pay, minimal risk. Can’t fault it as a business decision.

Boxing over the last couple of years has lost all credibility as a serious sport, let Joshua make a fortune and hopefully he'll ko Fake Paul and end this bollocks once and for all.

If they do fight I imagine it will be agreed that AJ will just give him a walk around and they both walk off with 50 million quid.

AJ is probably shot to crap now that anyone who lands on punch on his chin will probably hurt him. So cashing a JP fight makes sense, then a sail off against Fury.

Do you know. If this fight happens I'd go and see it. Shut JP up once and for all within 3 minutes.

However.........

Is it likely AJ could sell out and be bought?

Is Joshua really that desperate for money?
Would have thought he didn't really need this financially.

Why would he have to be "desperate for money" to decide to earn a great deal of money, even by his standards, for something very easy by his standards?

I wouldn't have to be desperate for money to agree to taking an easy job for more money than I generally get paid.

What would weigh in the scales against taking a fight with Jake Paul if one was offered?

He's obviously got more money than he could ever spend.
I don't get it, he should retire.

Exactly - who wouldn't want easy money..? :maybe:

The thing stopping AJ wouldn't be money it would be "not wanting to tarnish his legacy and brand getting involved with the tawdry circus that is The Problem Child."

Even if we think he's shot to bit, not in it anymore, way past his best, not training right.....
He annihilates Jake Paul - and that might not be a good look either...

Whatever bollocks he talks, Paul’s selection of opponents so far indicates he knows what his actual level is and it ain’t AJ.

He's obviously got more money than he could ever spend.
I don't get it, he should retire.
If you have 1 million, you more than likely want another 1 million. Who in their right mind would turn down the chance to start in a pantomime for 50m? Even if you have 1b in the bank?

I'm pretty sure he doesn't have more money than he could ever spend. That's way above his league. 100 million doesn't come close to that.
