I feel sorry for him, the dad sounds controlling, Caroline's very brave for breaking free.

So..
Warren wants him to fight Zhang.
Warren wants him to fight Zhang.
Re: What's Next For Dubois?
Fun fight, dangerous, but DDD should win
Nevertheless Zhang normally at least gets a few shots off, how will DDD react to taking a Big Bang shot down the pipe?

Re: What's Next For Dubois?
Great fight but don't think it happens because it's too much of a risk for Dubois when he doesn't need to take it. Not to say Zhang should be favourite but if anyone can knock someone out, especially if they have a fragile chin, it's Zhang.
Re: What's Next For Dubois?
I didn't have this pairing on the cards, but who are we to turn our noses up at a clash between two of the biggest punchers in heavyweight boxing !?

Re: What's Next For Dubois?
it's a WWE match up - reminds me of the '90s, the Warlord vs Earthquake or something
I'd put my money on Zhang but we could see Zhang down. not sure I remember him being knocked down ever
Re: What's Next For Dubois?
When did Big bang even fight last?
His inactivity would be a massive factor in the outcome.
Let's face it his fitness was pretty bad.

Re: What's Next For Dubois?
Zhang's stamina is absolutely terrible.
Unless he lands something early and hurts Dubois, I think he gets done over.
Duboi doesn't have great stamina, or certainly he is generally better in the first half of fights than the second but you'd figure he outlasts Zhang provided he's not been badly spattered early doors.
Dubois has never won a fight where he's hit the deck, Zhang as far as I am aware, has never hit the deck.

exactly. DDD don't like being hit like that. gets flustered and panics/freezes on the canvasjamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026, 17:12 Zhang's stamina is absolutely terrible.

Didn't he beat Lerena after getting bounced off the canvas ?jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑16 Jan 2026, 17:12 Zhang's stamina is absolutely terrible.

Re: What's Next For Dubois?
I'd make Dubois favourite, but Zhang's a serious threat.
Ideally you'd like to see both win a couple of low key fights so they are coming into the contest with a good head-space, but the reality is it's become standard practice for many boxers to be out of the ring 'forever and a day' before fighting again.
It's a good elimination fight to move the winner back into world title contention.

Re: What's Next For Dubois?
I would give Zhang 4 rounds to get the job done, any later Dubois should take him down. Zhang is 42 and only fought once in 11 months

What's next for Dubois - Zuffa Boxing?
Re: What's Next For Dubois?
Please tell me that's a misspelling & not an insult.
Re: What's Next For Dubois?
Zhang is all wrong for DDD.
All you gotta do is fight at a pace and not get hit for 6 rounds, then you can KO him/win all the rounds.
That's not DDD - he's a seek and destroy type - at his best starting early and fast and making a high-contact fight from R1.
I still think DDD wins, but he's the lowest ring-IQ gameplan type of guy you could pick to beat The Big Bang.
Zhang has a chance against anyone coming on to him early.
