Re: Adam Smith
“there’s the respect”
“This is what boxing’s all about!”
“We’ve got a fight on our hands!”
“He’s digging deep now”
“Toe-to-toe!”
“It’s all on the line tonight”
“A chess match early on”
“The atmosphere is electric!”
“Styles make fights”
“This could go either way”
“He’s hurt him there!”
“All the talk is over”
“It’s heating up now”
**FREE SPACE**
“They’re trading leather!”
“What a response!”
“Can he recover?”
“He’s on unsteady legs”
“This is turning into a war”
“The drama continues!”
“He’s biting down on the gumshield”
“Pure theatre!”
“He’s got to let his hands go”
“A test of heart and will”
“He’s come to fight tonight”
“Edge-of-your-seat stuff!”
“Barrera and Morales!”
Or take a shot when you hear any of the above.

Teak tough
My dad's from Leeds, I'm from London
Dave's passed on the honeycomb and the grapes, he's eating the chocolates
It's a shame , it was just getting started
It's not a classic but it's always been interesting
You say you can't punch but you knocked down Acelino Freitas
Let's hear what Tony Bellew thinks
My big boss Len Blavatnik
Only on Dazn
Who'll ever forget......
British boxing is booming
Castillo Corrales
Great to see Frank ( Bruno ) looking so well

Yes this was the Scum’s take on itRezzer1967 wrote: ↑28 Jul 2025, 07:18By saying this every time Frank pops up on screen, he’s reminding everyone that Bruno was once sectioned after he lost it and was sleeping under the ring in which he won his world title. That was the best part of 30 years ago.

Also has anyone mentioned "a cacophony of noise!" Yet?

OT, but I really like Barry Jones, he's knowledgeable and funny.

Re: Adam Smith
In television it seems that once you're in, you're in forever (unless you get exposed for something) no matter how liked you are. Martin Tyler, Jermaine Jenas and Sam Matterface are other examples of that.
Re: Adam Smith
He's horrific and ruins cards.
"Everyone at ringside is standing and applauding after that one..."
Camera pans the arena, nobody is standing, most are on their phones. Loves the sound of his own voice the rampant egomaniac.

Re: Adam Smith
I like to play a game called "Is Adam Smith talking?" I turn off the sound, wait 30 seconds or so, and ask myself "Is Adam Smith talking?" and I turn the sound on, and Adam Smith is talking, always! This is the only outcome which ever occurs in "Is Adam Smith talking?", so it's a nice predictable way to pass the time during lulls.

"We'd like to see this one again wouldn't we'" - every time there's a fight that's vaguely competitive
