Ball v Goodman

Post by amwsnw »

Really good fight. Disappointed for Goodman. Thought he fought very well and controlled most of the bout. Scores were way toooooo wide. Even the UK commentators had it razor thin which says something. Be interesting to see where both fighters go next. I’d like to see a rematch but doubt Balls camp would entertain it.

Ball unleashed multiple punches hitting the target over and over again throughout
Goodman's skills served him well, he's a pure boxer
It was a decent fight with the right winner

Tsutsumi looked alright

I had Goodman winning, 115-113. Good fight with 2 outrageous cards.

2 of the scorecards were a complete joke.

Even worse was the way the pundits who kept referring to Andy Lee's unofficial judging through the fight then decided to 'overlook' the blatant discrepancy without comment.

I guess Warren staring hard at the judges did not go without notice elsewhere.

As for Ball wanting Inoue next, bring it on.

Ball is an accident waiting to happen.

With those predictable swings, an overly hyped telegraphed accident.

I thought Andy Lee's card was off by the mid rounds

i agree ridiculous cards, it was close to a 50-50 fight, scores shoulda been more like 114-114, 115-113

Great fight , but i think it was a classic case of you have to take the title , its not gonna be given you , and there were too many close rnds very close rnds , which they just said , i like the bald ones shorts better , , yet i think Goodman was the better boxer , not so sure his corner were quite right encouraging him to slug it out on occasions when he just boxed he done so well making ball miss and look bullish ,, its the times he held his feet and swapped that cost him
