I've chatted with a few old pros who didn't push away from the table soon enough. One of them said he felt fine when he retired, but ten years later, he can't fasten his own shoe laces.
Derek already cant sharpen his own crayons.
Guys a former woman beater, I don't mind it too much.
Problem being, the sufferers are prone to unprovoked violent attacks. And it's the women in their lives who suffer.
He may be lucky and suffer no long term consequences, but I doubt it.
Like you said, ten years down the track...

im not sure you can be a former wife beater, as a bloke, if you have that in your arsenal then it could always reappear. its a pretty low thing to do in my opinion, he deserves to get laid out by DDD

I suppose it's a genuine 50-50 fight.

I wouldn't be against it as Opetaia's first fight at heavyweight. Usyk made the same move but obviously Chisora was years younger and Usyk was years older. However, Chisora is a well schooled but limited veteran that Opetaia could learn a lot from. I still think Opetaia should be facing Zurdo first though but Hearn has him running away.

It does mean that Sanchez vs Ajagba being a semi-final eliminator to face Chisora as a final eliminator for the IBF mandatory would be down the drain. Either Opetaia takes Chisora's place if he wins or some others would have to take the eliminator spot.

Obviously the plan Is to smash the guy who gave Usyk fits when he stepped up. Clever matchmaking.

At this point I'm convinced that Dereck Chisora is still gonna have about 5 to 10 more "Final matches"

It's funny: a few short years after stopping a prime Chisora, very few believed Haye could beat AJ, and yet here we are with some feeling that Chis might.

I think he's as likely to beat Itauma though, and that'd do a lot more for him. AJ would just have to come in light and busy, safety-first to a late stoppage or 12. Itauma might be overconfident and green enough to get involved early.

Chisora is tailor-made for Joshua, he’d get absolutely battered.

Cant believe Chisora is still sticking around like a genital wart. I was bored of him about 8 years ago.

i am mixed about chisora, on the one hand i am totalyl tired of him too, was many years ago already

on the other, i respect him fighting such good opposition and coming back from his losses to get some solid wins

Shows how the heavyweight scene is quite bad really when Chisora is still relevent. Whats more has much has Derik says he wants no smoke from Moses. I highly doubt they will offer it his performance against Usyk will be in there mind . Same reason i doubt Opetai will make his debut against him . Stayong at cruiser instead
