Yes, that was the intention, it's just a slow process.

Documenting each fighters ranking at the time of each fight would be SUPER HELPFUL! An example would be #10 fighting #20, put those 2 rankings under each fight window, so we can see what each fighters ranking was at the time of their fight, kind of like how you have their weight documented for each fight. That way we can see how their fight career has progressed, or regressed. I would imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to put those rankings under their weights for the fight.

when you look at the page of amateur rankings, it doesnt put a star (*) next to the boxers' names if they have a scheduled pro fightt, only if they have a schedulded amateur fight (but ama fights tend to get posted after the fact, so that is fairly rare to have one on the schedule ahead of time anyway)

since these days many top ams also have pro fights, or have recently turned pro but have been active in the ams recently enough to be ranked there still too, it would be helpful to have a quick way to scan the list of amateur rankings and see who has a bout coming up, whether ama or pro

eg callum peters has a pro fight in a couple of days, but there is no * next to his name on the page of amateur rankings:

Arguello v Olivares

Post by Woller »

You have Arguello leading on points on the scorecards against Olivares.
Are you sure that it is not the other way around?
All ringside reporters and also the book on Arguello has Olivares leading.

Please, this. The bright white is glaring at night and dark mode extensions are a suboptimal solution.

Hello, I'm writing a book about great boxing matches. Before each chapter, I list the boxers' records. For example: Boxer A: 58 fights, 50 wins (28 KOs), 6 losses (1 KO), 2 draws...

Counting becomes very difficult when you get to boxers with Newspaper Decisions. Greb is probably the hardest to count. Why not create one page with only the official fights and another with the Newspaper Decisions added?

Please Bring Back WBA Champions on BoxRec — This Site Deserves to Be Complete!

Post by 2378906 »

Hi BoxRec team and community,

I wanted to raise something that I think a lot of fans feel strongly about — the absence of WBA champions on BoxRec.

BoxRec has always been the go-to resource for boxing records, rankings, and title information, and it's genuinely the best database in the sport. However, since WBA champions are no longer listed here, it means fans like myself are constantly having to cross-reference between BoxRec and the WBA's own website just to get a complete picture of who holds world titles across all four major sanctioning bodies.

This is a real inconvenience. The WBA is one of the oldest and most recognised sanctioning bodies in boxing, and their champions deserve to be represented here alongside WBC, IBF, and WBO title holders. Without them, BoxRec's title tracking feels incomplete.

I understand there may have been a falling out or disagreement between BoxRec and the WBA at some point, but from a user perspective, the community would massively benefit from having all major title holders in one place again. Even a basic listing of current WBA champions — Regular, Super, and Unified — would make a huge difference.

I think I speak for a lot of boxing fans when I say: please look into restoring WBA champion listings on BoxRec. It would make this already brilliant website truly the one-stop shop for everything boxing.

Thanks for everything you do for the sport — it's appreciated more than you know.

I think we need to be able to filter by age. (Create custom age ranges when searching)…

I found myself asking “who will be the top dogs at heavyweight in 5 or 10 years” and it’s pretty hard to sort through the names around heavy and cruiser amature and pro scrolling down looking for young people.

What happened to the Watchlist/Following List? It used to be organized nicely by upcoming events in chronological order. My OCD is kicking in hard :witzend:

The idea of including the age of inactive or deceased boxers is a good one, however.
