Thought JLD possibly overachieved. Won lonsdale outright, always seemed to be in good nick. Fell off a cliff, but had good wins over more talented fighters.

Fantastic stuff - domestic FOTY contender ! :box: :yay: :salut:

Right man won too - Dickinson was ahead, clearly the better boxer, but lost 'cos of his unprofessionalism.
Delighted for Troy - hope he makes a bit of money. He's a fantastic undercard attraction.

He's good, but this Parra is useless. Lost to Florian Marku.

Can't even be bothered to watch anymore, pretty boring and one sided.
Not sure Mccormack has the gears and power to do it at the top, excellent, silky amateur style, boring as F.

Great talent, but that doesn't prove him ready imo.
Still quite a novice pro.

An extremely poor show overall. Matchroom don't really have much of a stable anymore, so it's to be expected.

McCormack is clearly a good fighter with a lot of positive attributes, but the commentary praise is over the top, given Parra was so poor.

The Giyasov line was being trotted out all night, but realistically, Parra offered nothing and has lost to inferior fighters in the past. McCormack did what was needed, broke him down and took him out. World level is a different stage.

So Pat’s now WBA mandatory anytime soon.

This was a final eliminator.

Enjoyed that tonight. Only tuned in for chief support and the main fight. The chief support was great entertainment. The main fight was always going to be about McCormack. Impressions of him as a fighter are that he's got that great evasive technique where he's in and around when he wants to be and he's out when his opponent is swinging. The commentary team were saying great defense, I just thought it was great evasion without the need for a defense. Going to be good watching him next few fights to see if that technique works against the better opposition he will face.

McCormack was brilliant, the last round corner stoppage was the icing on the cake, he won every round apart from the 6th when he had the point off for low blows ,dominated Parra, his speed was too much, sharp jab and the right hand bounced off Parra's head all night, loved that pull counter as well, his defence is excellent especially when considering he fights in range a lot of the time, he slips and parries everything plus his feet are so quick he can get in and out, Parra was never in it, McCormack put it on him in the 9th nearly stopped him but a good call not to go out for the last, McCormack would've surely knocked him out

eh, dick-willamson was good, everything else a predictable mismatch, surprised some are rating this card, maybe standards have lowered but a card with 7 mismatches outta 8 fights aint my thing

we already knew long ago pat is really good

Agreed, but I do worry that that talent will be wasted.

4 fights in 2 years, this last guy was the first in the top 300.

So is it fair to really dump him in the deep end after only 8 fights?
But then he hasnt any more time to lose.

Imagine if he gets cut. And the same for his brother

To play devils advocate it’s easy to call it a mismatch after the fact but parra has run some decent lads close and maybe landed 4 decent shots here

Parra more than respectable win for McCormack's 8th fight and he schooled him, a good mismatch
