i managed to catch the last round and I'm glad Bud proved me wrong. Canelo looked frustrated and surprised in that one round I saw :box:

R1: 10 -10
R2: 10 - 9 Canelo
R3: 10 - 9 Canelo
R4: 9 - 10 Crawford
R5: 10 - 10
R6: 9 - 10 Crawford
R7: 9 - 10 Crawford
R8: 10 - 9 Canelo
R9: 10 - 9 Canelo
R10: 10 - 10
R11: 9 - 10 Crawford
R12: 9 - 10 Crawford

I couldn't see Crawford or Canelo living with Froch or Calzaghe.
You might get stick for that scoring but I understand the thought process behind it. I think the vast majority of judges and fans are averse to 10-10s, which is how I arrived at 118-113. I felt Bud pulled away cleanly in the second half, minus a round.

And Calzaghe was exactly who came to mind in those later rounds, because I'd have really fancied his chin and workrate to reverse the fight at that point. Crawford's silky enough to have made him look like a raggo amateur at times, but prime Calzaghe got off the canvas and just kept throwing. Proper old school.

I'd take Crawford against Froch though.

Maybe drop down to middleweight and fight against Zhanibek? Pick up another strap or two in a different weight class. Overtaking Mayweather in championships at different weight classes - may add something to his legacy. Stepping up to light heavy is a step too far if you ask me.

Absolute schooling. Shocking to think that even a round or two on some of those cards and Crawford doesn’t win. Maybe even loses. Fckin horrendous judging.

It's the only meaningful fight left if he doesn't retire.

I haven't seen much of Alim and his record makes me feel like he's untested, but I'd be surprised if he didn't offer a tough challenge.

Both Crawford and Bivol defeated Canelo in a similar one sided fashion. There's no gap in size. It's a competetive matchup.

That's a legendary career? Not exactly Benitez, Duran, Hearns and Hagler in terms of a collection of scalps, is it.

The ceaseless hype of modern boxing grows more hysterical every year.

Crawford put on a masterclass, he never looked in trouble and won comfortably. I wonder if he will retire, his post fighter interview didn’t sound like he had plans to fight on.

I think there may be a rematch clause, he would probably be quite happy to take that as he would fancy his chances again and earn more silly money, other than that, I can't see him fighting on.

Is there a rematch clause? It wasn’t mentioned when he was interviewed, he was asked if he would fight on and he said he would speak to his family.

Those scorecards were terrible.

If they fight again, Bud would have a chance of a stoppage.

I had Crawford ahead by 5

In one sense a close fight but normally he was a step ahead, and as the fight went on it was clear he was comfortable in the pocket and didn't need to get on his bike.

It wasn't like he was a ghost, Canelo got off with shots, but couldn't hurt him.

In the end Bud had superior hand speed, and got off with more shots

116-112 Crawford, well deserved but there were a lot of close competitive rounds, first 3 not much happened, Canelo was trying to dig that left hand to the body and right hand up top, Crawford fought the whole fight southpaw, his jab was excellent, sharp left, as the rounds wore on he held his feet more and got the better of the exchanges, we've seen Alvarez struggle with speed before but he keeps coming, landed now and again but Crawford was brilliant, not a classic but high level chess match

Really pleased to be proven wrong. I thought it was Crawford who was showing more signs of slowing down than Canelo so I was tipping Canelo to win quite clearly. Crawford shows he has still got quite a bit in the tank.

I think the fight with Madrimov didn’t look good for Bud and in people’s eyes, 154 was a step too far.

I mean you’re only as good as your last fight

Canelo looked so frustrated in rd 11 and 12, turning away as if to say fornicat8 this, and in the last 10 seconds of the fight Bud wobbled him, but maybe that was fatigue too for Canelo. Bud boxed his ears off and didn't look troubled at all. incredible

Canelo and Beterbiev should fight at a catchweight too

Great fight. Canelo seems to be against facing Beterbiev and Benavidez because he said they're too big

Ridiculous to even think about Crawford stepping in with people like Bivol/Benavidez or Beterbiev. Those are natural giants. And all hit like a truck. I think Zhanibek is a good idea. He could easily go Undisputed in another weight class.

I noticed that too. He looked well pissed off as if I knew what was coming and that he’d had his arse handed to him.
