How the hell could anyone definitively tell Beyer was shot against the likes of Sheika (possibly the most shot SM on the planet) and Alberto 'who the fornicate is he?' Colajanni? Going 50/50 over 4 rounds with Bika didn't exactly set the world alight either. Beyer has CLEARLY been ducking anyone approaching top 10 status for 18 months... he's done and he knows it. If Kessler wins the result will be no more impressive than Calzaghe beating Eubank (who was better and far less over the hill than Beyer).pundit wrote:Let's add for clarification: your last sentence was an opinion, tooTaki... wrote:It's not defintive knowledge, just my opinion. I do KNOW the only reason you're questioning my opinion (that Beyer is pretty much shot) is so that when Kessler beats him you can pretend it means more than it actually does. I'm afraid that even if Kessler KO's Beyer in 1 round it's still less significant that Calzaghe's shut-out of Lacy... like it or not.
(a habitually absurd one, as would go without saying).
As for the subject, Beyer didn't show any sign of "being shot" in his previous fights -- while Lacy showed plentiful signs of being a one-dimensional slugger with poor defense in his pre-Calzaghe fights.
Btw, I don't think you are in a position to be lecturing anyone on 'absurd opinions'...
