Hopkins of 2005 moves up in weight and challenges Crawford of 2025 for Crawford's Undisputed championship at SMW - the division, that Bernard has skipped back in the days.
How do you see it going?
Terence Crawford vs Bernard Hopkins

Crawford on points and it's not close; maybe 118-110.
Re: Terence Crawford vs Bernard Hopkins
Would've been a bad move for the Hopkins of 2005. The whole reason why he lost his Middleweight title to Taylor is because his age had caught up with him enough by then that he'd lost his speed a little, and couldn't outwork Taylor. He tried to beat him with timing, and damn near did it, he definitely kicked Taylor's ass down the stretch in the 1st fight, but he had already given up his title score wise before he ever decided he might try to keep it that night so he lost due to dogsh*t strategy.
Hopkins was a great fighter, and I don't think he would've lost to Crawford by much if at all, but Crawford's timing, Southpaw stance, and still more youthful legs than the at this time 41 year old Hopkins' would've had.
I think Crawford would win a narrow decision.

Interesting opinions.
Hopkins had struggles against guys, who were more athletic than him and were faster. Crawford is probably more athletic and would also be younger. Would he be faster? Not as significantly, I think. If we take speed, I'm not sure Crawford is faster than Taylor or Calzaghe (at least, when it comes to handspeed).
I think, Hopkins of 2006 would feel himself fine at 168. And he'd surely be a bigger man against Crawford. His workrate and physicality were still formidable at that time.
That said, if B-Hop would want to get dirty on the inside with Crawford, I'm sure Terence won't be looking for ref's intrusion. He'll look to give a hard response to Bernard's tactics. And I actually think, he won't mind punch Hop low in return (if the situation will require it).
Another question is, will Terence be able to outmuscle Hopkins in the trenches? I don't know.
It's an interesting fight to analyse.

Re: Terence Crawford vs Bernard Hopkins
This he absolutely would not be able to do. If the fight is fought in the trenches it's to Hopkins advantage, and he may pull it out.2128778 wrote: ↑21 Sep 2025, 14:46 Interesting opinions.

Crawford looked ok size wise compared to the small canelo, but hop has 3 inches on him at least
