He just had that rocky relationship with Ronnie.
Maybe cus he went from being his manager to promoting the whole snooker.
Not saying he didn’t do right by him either.

I couldn't watch any scene with benn in. I skipped forward so missed large parts of some episodes. I've never hated someone I don't know before him. A despicable pudendum.CaptainSpacerod wrote: ↑20 Sep 2025, 22:06 Truly sickening scenes in episode 4 which heavily features Conor Benn in various states of self pity. He nauseatingly cries crocodile tears at one point when recalling how close he came to suicide. I didn't believe a word of it.
It's a decent little series overall, obviously most of it is staged and conversations are scripted but you get some nice behind the scenes footage. Eddie comes across fairly well on the whole.
Yep the bit with Benn was nauseating . he's a real wanker , rich wanker for his age but wanker anyway , i reckon he'll be broke by the time he's 50Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 07:11 This is what he said...
Benn said during episode 5 of the new Netflix docuseries.
“Being on the brink of suicide.”
“Then having panic attacks in my sleep. Dripping sweat. Scared to wake up or go to sleep.
“I couldn’t cope. I didn’t find comfort in my family. I found extreme failure, extreme responsibility, extreme shame. I was going to end my life, and I came very close to it.
“I was so bad. How did it get so bad?”
Then his partner Victoria, who was tearful added in..
“Me and Conor weren’t even sure if we were gonna make it, just because it was so much and it was intense.
“That’s why I’m so proud of us because of the way we got through it. It’s definitely hard to think about those times and what kind of strain it put on us, our relationship, and our family.”
-----------
It's as if they dedicated some time of the docuseries, to do a bit of damage control on Benn, knowing when it was going to air as well.
Not sure about Benn being broke but I don't think he has a long career ahead of him, purely because I think Eddie will match him hard when he really needs to be matched carefully. To be honest I think he is overrated in my opinionconeye wrote: ↑23 Sep 2025, 01:23Yep the bit with Benn was nauseating . he's a real wanker , rich wanker for his age but wanker anyway , i reckon he'll be broke by the time he's 50Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Sep 2025, 07:11 This is what he said...
