His coach would put him in with any of my guys when he was like 13-14 yrs old. He hit like a Tank. Yeah Fake Paul is way bigger but he doesn't have very good boxing skills. If there is any chance this isn't fixed like Paul's previous fights, Tank will land some really hard body shots to get inside and if he hits the head/chin with a good shot....he has a punchers chance.

Jake Paul, Gervonta Davis make $2 million side wager on their Netflix clash

An old acquaintance managed to draw a new rise out of Gervonta “Tank” Davis.

The unbeaten WBA 135lbs titlist appeared overcome with boredom and disinterest during the two-city press tour to hype up his novelty exhibition match with Jake Paul. His demeanor changed, however, when online streamer and influencer Adin Ross stepped to the mic.

The end result was a suggested seven-figure bet between Davis and Paul, or so suggested their on-stage handshake agreement.

Ross had the first question from the crowd during Tuesday’s press conference at Kaseya Center, home to the NBA’s Miami Heat and the hosting venue for their November 14 Netflix headliner. The moment immediately drew a smile and a laugh from Davis, as it was well documented that Ross and Paul are friends and even arrived together at the venue.

However, the first question wasn’t for the social media star-turned-contender-and-promoter, but instead for Davis.

“Gervonta, you know I fornicate with you,” stated Ross. “I fornicate with you heavy, Gervonta but I want to side bet you. I got Jake winning.”

The statement took Davis by surprise, as he was already under the impression such a bet was in place.

It was then revealed by Davis – after asked by Ross - that the two have a $200,000 wager on the line for the scheduled ten-round contest, which will be fought with 12 oz. gloves at a maximum weight of 195lbs. That’s when the tone of press conference took a very different – and far more light-hearted, even if competitive – turn.

“Let’s make it two-fifty,” suggested Ross, who wasn’t prepared for the counter offer.

“Let’s go five hundred,” demanded Davis, which prompted a “Hell no” from Ross, before being goaded by his own supporters.

“C’mon, Adin, you have to take it bro,” Paul told Ross. “You have to take it.”

Ross then requested that he and Paul split the bet with Davis - $250,000 each. Paul was down – perhaps a little too much so for his friend.

“Easy, easy,” said Paul before he turned towards Davis. “Let’s make it a million.”

“Whoa,” exclaimed Ross.

It at least got the attention of a more interested part.

“Let’s make it two mill,” Davis responded, before walking to center stage, where he and Paul shook hands as a gentleman’s agreement.

Davis even attempted to goad Nakisa Bidarian, Paul's longtime business partner and co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) to join in on the action.

"How much you wanna bet," Davis asked Bidarian.

"I'll bet you guys put on the biggest event of the year," Bidarian responded.

It wasn't the answer Davis wanted to hear.

"C'mon, this your guy," Davis replied, before he was shut down by Bidarian. "But that's your guy?"

State athletic commission normally forbid bets between participants, though the result of the November 14 fight will not count against either boxer’s record.

This is not the first time an interaction between Davis and Ross resulted in a hefty wager.

The two were part of an Instagram Live hosted by influencer Kai Cenat during fight week for Davis’ anticipated April 2023 clash with then-unbeaten Ryan Garcia. The highly viewed online session resulted in Cenat and Ross agreeing to a $10,000 bet – Cenat on Davis, Ross on Garcia. Davis and Garcia continued the session and generated headlines by claiming to risk their entire fight purses, though it obviously never happened.

Davis won via seventh-round knockout, atop a Showtime Pay-Per-View event that sold a reported 1.2 million units – the best-selling pure boxing event in the post-Floyd Mayweather era.

Ross fulfilled his bet with Cenat, although the two played up an alleged delay before a recorded session provided proof of payment.

Press Release

The WBC announced that Alicia Baumgardner has decided to vacate her WBC super featherweight world title. Baumgarnder, who has had prior issues with illegal performance-enhancing substances, is still recognized as the women's 130-pound champion by the other three major sanctioning bodies, and is expected to fight on the Jake Paul vs. Gervnta Davis undercard later this year. The WBC attributed the following statement to Baumgardner: “I respect the WBC and want to thank them for all the support they have given me throughout my career. Becoming their champion was a career-defining honor, and I look forward to and plan to one day fight for a WBC belt again. For now, I am focused on continuing to break barriers for women’s boxing and showing the world that we are every bit as capable as men when we step between the ropes.”

yeah it's a shame "exhibition with bigger gloves" ffs :brick: :witzend:

So.., a fixed "draw" after a distance "fight" then.
Shame, cos If Paul really fought the actual Tank Davis in an 8 rounder he'd have mad respect and I'd pay to watch.

If you don't think you can get hurt by 12 oz gloves, you're wrong. I read if it goes the distance, there will be a decision made. I don't think Tank would hold back if he catches JP. We'll have to see if this another circus WWE type fight or Paul is willing to bang with Tank thinking his size is all that. If that happens, he's in for a rude awakening.

GERVONTA DAVIS, JAKE PAUL BET $2 MILLION ON OUTCOME OF NOV. 14 FIGHT IN MIAMI

Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Jake Paul raised the stakes Tuesday night.

During their press conference in Miami, influencer Adin Ross said he believes Paul will win their exhibition and asked how much he should bet on it. The bet rapidly escalated from $250,000 to $2 million on who will win their exhibition bout on Nov. 14 at Miami's Kaseya Center on Netflix.

After some back and forth, Davis and Paul shook on their bet. Davis also tried to coax Most Valuable Promotions CEO Nakisa Bidarian into a bet to no avail.

Paul and Davis will face off in a 10-round exhibition at a catchweight of 195 pounds. They’ll also wear 12-ounce gloves, and there will be three state commission-approved judges to score the fight.

In a sanctioned fight, Davis would normally wear eight-ounce gloves, while Paul would wear 10-ounce gloves.

Davis, 30, who stands at 5-foot-5½, last fought at 135 pounds and has weighed as much as 140 pounds in his career. Paul, 28, is 6-foot-1 and has competed mostly at the cruiserweight limit of 200 pounds, but he has also fought at heavyweight and weighed as much as 227¼ pounds. He has also been as light as 183.75 pounds in his career.

Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs), a hard-hitting southpaw from Baltimore, Maryland, still holds the WBA lightweight title. He’s coming off his first professional fight that didn’t end with him getting his hand raised, a controversial majority draw against Lamont Roach on March 1 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Had Davis taking a knee in the ninth round been ruled a knockdown by referee Steve Willis, Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs) would have won by decision.

Paul (12-1, 7 KOs), Westlake, Ohio, is coming off a unanimous-decision victory over long-faded former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28 at Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Gervonta Davis says ‘boxing is dead,’ claims he will retire after Jake Paul fight

Gervonta Davis has indicated on the social media platform X that he is retiring after his November 13 fight with Jake Paul.

Davis, who has complained during the promotion for his upcoming exhibition bout about what he perceives as boxing’s tendency to turn on stars who fall from grace, wrote on social media, “Boxing definitely did a turn..it went from this side to that side [sunglasses emoji]..and this shit has no loyalty so why would I care, I move accordingly [sunglasses emoji; OK emoji] BOXING IS DEAD.”

An X user then quote-posted Davis: “Please retire then.”

“I am,” Davis responded, with a cheery emoji. “In 8 weeks.”

Davis fights in a fan-friendly style, racking up 28 knockouts among his 30 professional wins against a single draw in his last fight with Lamont Roach. Despite being one of the sport’s biggest attractions, important fights against higher profile names like Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, Keyshawn Davis, and Shakur Stevenson have failed to come to fruition.

In March, Roach entered a fight with Davis as a huge underdog but ended up giving “Tank” the toughest fight of his career. Many felt Davis was lucky to escape with a majority draw, especially considering that he took a knee in the ninth round and darted to his corner to have his face wiped without suffering a penalty.

All this has made it difficult to ascertain Davis’ ceiling as a fighter: he appears to be a top talent in the sport but has never come close to fighting sufficiently stern opposition to justify placement near the pinnacle of a pound-for-pound list. His defining fight remains his seventh-round stoppage of Ryan Garcia in 2023.

A Stevenson fight represents a true test of boxer vs. puncher, and by far the best opponent of Davis’ career so far. Yet nobody has shown less interest in that fight than “Tank” himself. Even if boxers are notoriously fickle when it comes to retirement – “I’m officially retiring from the sport of boxing,” Stevenson himself wrote on X during a low point in his career, only to double back on the all-but-forgotten post – Davis seems prepared to let this exhibition against Paul prove the dying image of his boxing endeavors, and to let the limits of his talent remain a question.

I wonder if there's ever been a boxer more popular than Gervonta Davis who accomplished less? He's definitely been one of the marquee names in the sport at least in the U.S. in the last 10 years, and has done almost nothing to justify his fame or admiration of his fans.

He's made money, and he'll make the most he's ever made off of this sh*t here.

But when history remembers the great Lightweight boxers. It can skip over the name Gervonta Davis.

Gervonta Davis Doesn’t Believe He's The Face Of Boxing

Gervonta Davis has a hard time going anywhere without screaming fans begging for his autograph.

His violent knockouts have made him one of the most popular boxers in the sport. Considering his track record, some believe he is the face of boxing.

That distinction, however, is a bit too much praise for his liking.

“I’m not the face of boxing,” Davis said during a recent press conference. “I’m just somebody that box[es].”

Ultimately, all of this “face of boxing” chatter isn’t on his radar. The 30-year-old WBA lightweight champ is training his tail off for his November 14 exhibition against fringe cruiserweight contender Jake Paul at Kaseya Center in Miami.

Their matchup will be streamed on Netflix and is expected to have a ton of eyeballs, despite the comical nature of it. After several conclaves, Davis agreed to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer at a catchweight of 195 pounds, 60 higher than his usual weight class.

What Davis does following his exhibition is a question he won’t answer. He's coming off a controversial draw against Lamont Roach on March 1 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

There was reason to believe there would be a rematch. But while Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) initially agreed, he backed out at the last minute and opted to face Paul (12-1, 7 KOs).

In terms of being the face of boxing, in years past, the Baltimore, Maryland, native believed it was a position he earned. Nowadays, he couldn’t care less.

Gervonta Davis reiterates retirement is next after Paul fight: 'Boxing is dead'

Gervonta Davis' disinterest and disdain for boxing continue to grow.

The 30-year-old knockout artist, who is undefeated as a WBA lightweight titleholder and in the prime of his career, is gearing up for an exhibition against Jake Paul on Nov. 14 in Miami.

The matchup is the kind of move star fighters make to milk one last big sum of money at the tail end of their careers before calling it quits. For Davis, he reiterated on Friday that he's retiring from boxing once the event concludes.

"Boxing definitely did a turn," Davis wrote on X. "It went from this side to that side, and this shit has no loyalty. So why would I care? I move accordingly. Boxing is dead."

When someone responded, "Please retire then," Davis said, "I am in, eight weeks."

Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) wrapped up a press tour in New York and Miami this week to promote the exhibition with Paul, during which he said “I’m not the face of boxing.

”He didn’t publicly reveal that he’s hanging up the gloves, as he did before his last fight against Lamont Roach Jr. in March. He said he would retire by the end of the year ahead of that fight, but the result -- a controversial majority draw -- made him change his tune at the time.

A rematch planned for the summer had multiple false starts, and Davis eventually punted at the thought of the sequel and instead zeroed in on Paul.

Jake Paul Considers Gervonta Davis 'Toughest Test' Of His Career

By the time Jake Paul walks to the center of the ring and looks Gervonta Davis square in the face, he’ll have several advantages on his side.

For starters, their November 14 matchup will take place at a catchweight of 195 pounds, 60 pounds higher than Davis’ normal weight class. He’ll also have an eight-inch height and absurd nine-inch reach advantage.

Even with everything slanted in his favor, Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) believes the unbeaten WBA lightweight champ will give him one helluva fight.

“This is a Top 10 pound-for-pound fighter," Paul said during their New York press conference.

Although Paul took the time to praise him, Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) didn’t look like his typical dominating self when last seen. For the first time in his career, the 30-year-old southpaw didn't have his hand raised in victory, as he was forced to settle for a majority draw against Lamont Roach on March 1 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

Most assumed they'd rematch. However, Paul came along with an offer Davis couldn’t refuse. Given the chance to make generational money, Davis accepted.

Paul is still searching for respect. He didn't find it after wins over a nearly 60-year-old Mike Tyson and a long-faded Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

It’s debatable whether Paul will get the adulation he’s looking for if he comes out on top vs. Davis, especially considering the size difference, in an exhibition.

Paul knows that Davis, unlike a number of his opponents, is a true force.

“This is definitely the toughest test,” Paul said.

Cherneka Johnson-Amanda Galle added to Jake-Tank show; Ellie Scotney injured

A full unification bout has been replaced by a fight for an existing undisputed championship.

Boxing Scene has confirmed that reigning 118lbs queen Cherneka “Sugar Neeks” Johnson, 18-2 (8 KOs), is set to defend her crown against unbeaten challenger Amanda Galle. The bout will take place on November 14, in support of the Jake Paul vs. Gervonta “Tank” Davis Netflix event from Kaseya Center, home to the NBA’s Miami Heat in Florida.

The bout will headline the preliminary undercard immediately preceding the Netflix main card, presented by Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).

Its addition comes at the expense of one fight falling through, however.

Lineal and unified 122lbs champion Ellie Scotney, 11-0 (0 KOs) suffered a training camp injury and was forced to withdraw from her planned undisputed clash with WBA titlist Mayelli Flores.

“Sugar Neekz Johnson is set to become Australia’s first-ever defending undisputed champion in the four-belt era, while Canada’s top 118lb contender Amanda Galle has the opportunity to make a global name for herself and become the first Canadian-born undisputed champion,” MVP co-founder and CEO Nakisa Bidarian told BS in a provided quote. “Even with the short notice, this will be a non-stop all action fight with both fighters ready to make a statement and go to war on Friday, November 14.

“We wish Ellie Scotney a speedy recovery and look forward to fully supporting her return soon as she continues her mission toward undisputed. Jake vs. Tank is a testament to fighters who are redefining limits and chasing greatness, and we look forward to making history together at the Kaseya Center, live only on Netflix.”

To her credit, Johnson was once again prepared to fill the void – similar to how she became undisputed champion.

The 30-year-old became the first New Zealand-born undisputed champion following her 9th-round stoppage of Shurretta “Sha” Metcalf on July 11 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The bout took place on the undercard of the historic Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano trilogy clash, a fight that Johnson – now based in Australia - accepted on five weeks’ notice in place of Dina Thorslund.

She is once again set to answer the call against another dangerous opponent.

“I’m pumped to be back in the ring again before the end of the year! It’s been a while since I’ve been this active, and I’m loving it,” said Johnson, who has already fought twice in 2025. “I can’t wait to be part of the massive Jake Paul vs Tank Davis card, show the improvements we’ve been working on, and bring my belts back home.

“Amanda Galle came up after my fight versus Shurretta Metcalf in NYC, showed respect, and said she wants what I’ve got. Can’t blame her, I’d be chasing all the belts too.”

The bout will represent Johnson’s third overall defense of the WBA title and first as the fully unified champion. Johnson also previously held a 122lbs title, which she lost to Scotney in 2023.

This will be the first career title fight for Galle, 12-0 (1 KO): precisely the type of opportunity she expected when she signed with MVP earlier this year.

The 36-year-old from Ontario, Canada was a late arrival to the pro scene despite her extensive amateur career. Overcoming depression along with having to cope with her mother’s battle with breast cancer, Galle has emerged as a top contender in the talent-rich bantamweight division.

Upon signing with MVP, Galle shone in her company debut with an eight-round virtual shutout of Alondra Hernandez on September 27 in Montreal. The bout took place in supporting capacity to Kim Clavel’s title win over Sol Cudos.

It marked the first fight of 2025 for Galle following a near ten-month ring absence. She will quickly make up for lost time, and with exceedingly high stakes.

“I’ve put my time in,” insisted Galle. “I’ve been hanging out in the coattails of these big names, working in silence, and I’ve earned a spot at the table. The best promotion in the world has put me on their roster and I want a shot at the best out there.

“I’m the [uncrowned] undisputed bantamweight champion. Canada knows it, the world’s about to!”

The Johnson-Galle clash and Scotney-Flores fallout are not the only shakeups on the undercard.

Avious Griffin, 17-1 (16 KOs), has a new opponent for his undercard bout, as he will now face Justin Cardona. The need arose for a new foe after originally scheduled Cesar Francis withdrew due to injury.

The quick fix affords Griffin the opportunity to rebound from his first career defeat. The 31-year-old welterweight from Chattanooga, Tennessee – who is trained by Brian “BoMac” McIntyre – suffered a 10th round stoppage to Julian Rodriguez on the June 28 MVP show topped by Paul’s ten-round win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr.

“Thanks to MVP, the best promotional company in the business,” Griffin said of the chance to quickly return. “New opponent, same outcome. See ya Friday, November 14.”

Cardona, 10-1 (5 KOs), was happy to accept the short notice opportunity, if only to keep going the positive momentum gained on the year. The 25-year-old Salinas, California native ended a two-year ring hiatus with a dominant eight-round points win over favored Elijah Williams on May 31 in Las Vegas. The win was his second in a row after a narrow defeat to Angel Rebollar in October 2022.

“This is the kind of fight I’ve been working toward since day one,” said Cardona. “Avious Griffin is a dangerous opponent with power, no doubt—but I’m ready for this moment. I’ve put in the work, I’ve got a world-class team behind me, and come November 14 in Miami, I’m going to show the world what ‘Stallion’ pressure looks like. I respect the challenge, but I didn’t come this far to stop now. I’m coming to win and win impressively.”

Cherneka Johnson-Amanda Galle Added To Paul-Davis Undercard; Ellie Scotney Injured

Cherneka Johnson is not wasting much time defending her bantamweight belts.

Johnson (18-2, 8 KOs) is set to defend her IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO titles against Amanda Galle (12-0-1, 1 KO) on November 14, Most Valuable Promotions announced on Monday. The matchup will take place on the preliminary portion of the card headlined by Gervonta Davis and Jake Paul at the Kaseya Center in Miami.

Johnson won the 118-pound crowns July 11 when she replaced then-pregnant Ring champion Dina Thorslund and stopped Shurretta Metcalf on the Katie Taylor-Amanda Serrano undercard at Madison Square Garden in New York. Johnson, a 30-year-old Australian, made her United States debut in dominant fashion by notching a ninth-round TKO win.

“I’m pumped to be back in the ring again before the end of the year,” Johnson said. “It’s been a while since I’ve been this active, and I’m loving it. … Galle came up after my fight versus Metcalf, showed respect, and said she wants what I’ve got. Can’t blame her – I’d be chasing all the belts, too.”

Galle, a 36-year-old Canadian, signed a promotional deal with MVP in June. She is coming off an eight-round unanimous-decision win against Alondra Mendoza in September.

“I’ve been hanging out in the coattails of these big names, working in silence, and I’ve earned a spot at the table,” Galle said.

In separate news around the card, MVP announced that Ring and unified junior featherweight champion Ellie Scotney (11-0, 0 KOs) suffered an injury during training camp. Her bout against WBA titleholder Mayelli Flores (13-1-1, 4 KOs) will be postponed to a later date.

Additionally, welterweight Avious Griffin (17-1, 16 KOs) aims to get back into the win column after suffering the first loss of his career against Julian Rodriguez in June by taking on Justin Cardona (10-1, 5 KOs) in an eight-rounder.

Anderson Silva-Chris Weidman III set for Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis Netflix card

Anderson Silva will look to conquer the first fighter to beat him in a UFC championship fight, on the undercard of the last boxer to beat him in a boxing ring.

BS has confirmed that Brazil’s Silva will face former cage rival Chris Weidman in a trilogy clash on November 14 from Kaseya Center, home to the NBA’s Miami Heat. Their scheduled six-round heavyweight bout will open the four-fight Netflix main card topped by the Jake Paul-Gervonta “Tank” Davis exhibition grudge match.

The unique crossover bout marks the third entry in the Weidman-Silva rivalry, more than a decade after their pair of 2013 UFC middleweight championship meetings in Las Vegas.

Wiedman famously ended Silva’s near-seven-year reign with a July 2013 knockout victory. Silva’s bid for revenge ended in a 2nd round injury stoppage just five months later, which was also his last ever championship fight in the cage.

“This one is for Brazil,” Most Valuable Promotions co-founder and CEO Nakisa Bidarian told BS in a provided quote. “The greatest MMA fighter of all time Anderson Silva makes his return to boxing, in front of the world, against Chris Weidman, the man who ended Andersons’s record-setting championship reign.

“Both fighters have everything to gain on Friday, November 14 as legends closing out the trilogy chapter of a contentious rivalry, meeting in the ring for the first time following their two iconic clashes in the cage. Unfinished business will finally be settled.”

Weidman will make his boxing pro debut.

The 41-year-old Long Island, New York native enters the ring eleven months after his final UFC appearance. He is nearly a decade removed from the end of his two-plus year middleweight championship reign which ended in a December 2015 defeat to Luke Rockhold.

Following a December 2024 defeat in the cage, Weidman – a former two-time all-American wrestler – joined the Global Fight League. His first fight was to come in a rematch with Rockhold, but the league canceled its first two scheduled events and its future plans are on hold.

Determined to keep the line moving, Weidman – who has overcome a broken leg from 2021 – now turns to the ring.

"I'm undefeated in boxing and it's gonna stay that way,” said Weidman, though taking liberty with the “undefeated” claim since he’s yet to box. “I'm the original spider killer.”

Whereas Weidman will box for the first time, Silva will resume his ring career.

The 50-year-old Brazilian will enter his sixth pro bout spanning 28 years. He boxed professionally in 1998 and again in 2005 before going all in for his legendary MMA career. He claimed the UFC middleweight crown in 2006 and made 10 successful defenses before his pair of defeats to Weidman. He fought seven more times in the cage before retiring in 2020.

His return to the boxing ring came six months later, and Silva made an immediate splash. An eight-round, split decision win over former WBC middleweight titlist Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr served among the biggest upsets of 2021 – and arguably of the post-pandemic era.

Not to rest on his laurels, Silva parlayed the victory into two more lucrative bouts. The first came just three months later, where he savagely knocked out fellow former UFC champion Tito Ortiz in the first round of their September 2021 boxing match.

More than a year later, Silva squared off with Paul in a high-profile Showtime Pay-Per-View headliner. Paul won their October 2022 clash via eight-round decision, at the time marking his final pro contest. His lone piece of ring action came in a June 2024 boxing exhibition with former UFC rival Chael Sonnen at home in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The allure to settle unfinished business with Weidman was enough to bring him back.

“I am super excited to embark on another battle against Chris,” said Silva. “We have a history and on Friday, November 14th, live only on Netflix, we’re putting another stamp on our chapter together. It will be a spectacle for the fans!"

Silva-Weidman III rounds out the four-fight main card, which will include two major title fights.

The evening’s co-feature pits lineal and unified 130lbs champion Alycia Baumgardner, 16-1 (7 KOs) and Canada’s Leila Beaudoin, 13-1 (2 KOs) in a championship affair scheduled for 12, 3-minute rounds. Also on the show, reigning WBA 140lbs titlist Gary Antuanne Russell, 18-1 (17 KOs) risks his belt against mandatory challenger Andy Hiraoka, 24-0 (19 KOs).

MVP ANNOUNCES CARD FOR JAKE PAUL-GERVONTA DAVIS FIGHT WEEK

A four-fight card has been confirmed for Jake Paul-Gervonta Davis fight week.

Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions announced Jahmal Harvey vs. Kevin Cervantes, Kaipo Gallegos vs. Cristian Perez, Keno Marley vs. Diarra Davis Jr. and Nazarena Romero vs. Mayerlin Rivas II will take place on November 11 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The fights will be streamed on MVP's YouTube channel and Netflix Sports’ YouTube channel.

Paul vs. Davis is a 10-round exhibition bout that’ll be contested at 195 pounds on November 14 at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The fight will be streamed on Netflix.

Harvey, a 2024 U.S. Olympian, was a decorated amateur before signing with MVP after deciding to go pro. The 22-year-old Cheverly, Maryland, native made his pro debut on August 22 and stopped Marcelo Del Aguila after he quit on his stool following the first round. Cervantes (5-0, 5 KOs) of Valledupar, Colombia, will be fighting in the U.S. for the first time in his career when he faces Harvey. Cervantes has yet to fight beyond the third round in his career.

Harvey vs Cervantes will be a six-round bout.

Gallegos (10-0-1, 8 KOs) is one of boxing’s more promising prospects and was set to return this Saturday on the undercard of Sebastian Fundora vs. Keith Thurman before it was postponed. The dynamic 19-year-old southpaw is coming off a second-round stoppage of Alberto Mercado on September 19. Hernandez (12-3-1, 7 KOs) of Mexico last fought for a secondary WBO belt in his U.S. debut, but lost by third-round stoppage to Eridson Garcia (21-1, 13 KOs) on September 6.

Gallegos vs Perez Hernandez is scheduled to be an eight-round fight.

Marley of Sapeacu, Bahia, Brazil, will be making his pro debut at cruiserweight in a four-round bout against Davis Jr. The 25-year-old cruiserweight was a 2020 and 2024 Olympian representing Brazil and was previously scheduled to make his debut earlier before having to withdraw due to injury. Davis Jr. (2-1, 1 KO), Baltimore, Maryland, is coming off a first-round stoppage victory over Israel Troles Acevedo on August 30.

Romero vs Rivas will be a rematch of their first fight, which ended in a technical draw after five rounds on June 10, 2023, in Argentina due to a cut that Romero suffered from a clash of heads. Romero (14-1-2, 8 KOs) of Recreo, Catamarca, Argentina, will be fighting in the U.S. for the second time in her career. She was on the wrong end of a narrow split decision defeat to Mayelli Flores Rosquero (13-1-1, 4 KOs) in Kissimmee, Florida, on May 10. Rivas (17-6-3, 11 KOs) of Maracaibo, Venezuela, has lost her last two bouts and her last victory came in 2022, when she defeated Karina Fernandez by third-round stoppage.

Romero vs Rivas is a scheduled eight-round fight.

Jake Paul admits he’s scared, losing sleep over Gervonta Davis but promises KO

Jake Paul has talked a prolific game during the promotional period of his pitting against Gervonta Davis, per usual, going as far as saying he will “disable tiny boy” Davis and hand him a humbling knockout.

Paul is now singing a different tune as their November 14 meeting at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Netflix inches closer.

“This is definitely my toughest test to date,” Paul told TMZ. “There are a lot of things out there about size. But people forget that Tank is a top 10 pound-for-pound fighter. He's got power in both hands. Skills-wise and technique-wise, he's been doing this for so long. Internally, I am the most scared going into a fight that I've actually ever been in.

“His speed, elusiveness, ring IQ, conditioning, he's going to be sharp all the way through – the list goes on and on. Actually being vulnerable for a second is crazy and scary and keeps me up at night.”

Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) and the WBA 135-pound champion Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) will mix it up under a special set of rules that includes: 195 pounds maximum weight; 10, three-minute rounds; 12-ounce gloves. There will also be three judges ringside to announce a winner, despite it not being sanctioned as a professional fight.

Despite some uncertainty and second-guessing, Paul believes he can pull off the victory.

“I believe I have the power and the offense to be able to walk Tank into a knockout like I have done with other opponents,” said Paul. “I am fully confident in my abilities, and it will be one of the craziest upsets in a long time.”

Jake Paul vs Tank Davis: Postponement Rumors Surge as Ticket Prices Plunge

Image

Two weeks out, ticket prices for Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis are dropping fast, sparking fears the fight may underperform at the box office.

Jake Paul’s long-hyped showdown with Gervonta “Tank” Davis is facing a full-blown ticket crisis just two weeks before fight night. According to secondary market data reviewed by World Boxing News, prices have now fallen to as low as $91, while large sections of the Kaseya Center in Miami remain unsold.

As WBN reported on October 25, over 6,000 seats were still available at that time — and despite a heavy promotional push, the slowdown has only deepened. That has led to widespread speculation online that the event could be postponed or even called off, though no official indication of any cancellation has been made by the promoters.

Social media chatter continues to fuel claims that an “injury excuse” or other delay could be on the horizon, although there is no verified evidence to support such theories at this stage. WBN has reached out to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) team for clarification on the current sales outlook.

Slow Sales Despite Heavy Promotion
The bout — backed by Netflix and promoted by Paul’s MVP brand — was intended to be one of boxing’s marquee crossover events. Yet despite months of marketing and massive digital reach, the momentum simply hasn’t translated to box-office success.

Industry observers have noted that less than 70% of seats were sold as of late October, a pace far behind other recent headline events staged in Saudi Arabia, Las Vegas, and London.

By comparison, major fight cards featuring global stars or undisputed champions typically sell out within hours or days of launch.

Gervonta Davis facing new kidnapping and battery allegations

Just as Gervonta Davis prepares for his November 14 exhibition against Jake Paul, he has been rocked by the news of a civil lawsuit alleging acts of violence against his former partner.

The suit was filed by Courtney Rossel, an ex-girlfriend of Davis, and accuses him of “battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” It alleges Davis “choked her, threatened to kill her, and assaulted her both in private and in public settings.”

It recalls an incident on October 27 where Davis allegedly “grabbed, choked, and dragged Rossel through a stairwell, the kitchen, and the back exit before beating her in the parking garage, striking her in the back of the head while she screamed for help.” Thereafter, a police reports has made. The filing is a civil complaint seeking damages, not a criminal prosecution. Tank’s coach, Cavlin Ford, has responded to the allegations.

“He’s doing great. Everything’s good. That’s why we’re trying to find out what’s going on,” Ford said

Implications

The allegations will have a major negative impact on Davis. For sponsors, who rely on positive public image, Davis becomes a major liability. The lawsuit also introduces instability into the business side of his career, potentially limiting his access to the most lucrative fights and jeopardizing existing contracts.

If the civil case progresses, it could interfere with mandatory fight deadlines set by sanctioning bodies, forcing him to vacate titles. The exhibition bout against Jake Paul on Netflix was intended to push Davis further into the mainstream entertainment sphere. However, this lawsuit immediately complicates the optics for Netflix.
