so brutal isn't it, you don't have to wait long for action either. Sokolowski is doing BKB now, I'd like to see him on the BKFC
Defo some cracking little scraps. Telfer showed improvement and nice tight technique. He’s usually a face first brawler. This group of Scottish BKBers are fighting 5v5 groups in fields with no rules. Penalty kicks allowed. So they well game for this rule set. Joe Lister, if he knuckles down and stops the partying can come again. Takes a bit of power to put a dent in Sean.
Yea the Scots are game as a badger when it comes to this sort of stuff, be interesting to see more of that Weir, and defnitely Lister will come again
Some broken bones may keep him out for a bit, medically but he would be up for a fight next week if was down to him
I was astounded that Lister was a such a favourite in the betting especially due to the common opponent and Lister having a fight with him where Sean literally broke his face with a few digs.
Again, Joe Lister showed he was handy come fight night. Will beat a lot of the current crop in his division.
Did you see the nick of their faces after just under two rounds? Lucky we still have A&E or there be no money in it.
Thats the thing with the facial damage, it causes aggro in the short term but originally a few years back when the first little mob got it over the line to legally put BK fights they done it by proving in a study that a bare hand was safer for the brain than a wrapped and gloved hand, that causes more wobble to the skull due to the surface area
Im no expert on it but I can see that being the case, a gloved fist wobbles your head whereas a bare hand is more of a clout

Even in sparring you feel the dunt from a 16oz glove. Idiots try and call them pillows but it’s adding weight to the dig.
So yes mate I agree about that.
My post was more to say that if they didn’t get free healthcare on NHS the meagre wages would be used up getting stitches, casts etc.
It’s a decent watch sometimes but will never replace real boxing for me.
100%
Yeah i did get what you mean mate your post just reminded me of that from years ago when the first lot put shows on
Definitely lucky for the NHS for their fight purses

also padded gloves prolong the beating and thats where the damage is done
bare fist concusses even more easily than a glove, its no safer blow for blow. if gloves were more dangerous for being bigger than those novelty fun gloves would be more dangerous than a bare fist too
the lesser damage comes from fights being way shorter, precisely because bare fists KO quicker, and thus give far fewer hits to the head. just like most ring tragedies arent some 1 round brutal ktfo, they are prolonged damage accumulation, often in competitive fights. but that does not mean that a deontay wilder right hand is safer to take than the right hand of some light hitting volume puncher

I found it quite fun. its interesting watching class boxers looking basically helpless when the rules are altered ever so slightly.
Isn’t it more a case of the class boxers being a decade or more past their prime rather than them not adjusting to the nuances of bkb.
Surely a peak Degale with his speed and timing and movement would deal easily with this level of opponent

BKB kinda resembles a Standing MMA fight more than a Boxing match. Clinching and Dirty Boxing is permitted so if you're an MMA guy fighting a boxer just walk up on him and cling to him like glue, and you take away most of his space to use his skills.
Degale in his prime would come inside and light him up like the proverbial christmas tree. At this stage he has to fence on the outside and try to land the odd potshot, while being very hittable himself
