Is Kambosos a possibility ? He’s got a lot of miles on the clock and he’s a lightweight who could move up to 147 I suppose if the money was right.

I’d like to see it, would be a fun fight. Even moving up a couple of divisions he’d probably be too tough for a non juiced up Benn.

That said, Kambo earned big bucks from the Haney fights so he’d need an awful lot of money to tempt him to fight a nobody like Benn for no belt and the fight probably wouldn’t generate anything like enough money.

Not that it matters, as eddeh can talk his way out of anything, but he could be put to the sword and pushed on ennis.

He has two ww's both desperate for a big fight. If he had any 'real' confidence in Conor he'd jump on it.

He wont, cos Ennis would fcuk him up easy.

Ennis would run though him. No way Eddie would make that fight in a million years

The Million dollar question then is , Who will Hearn match him with , i for one seriously doubt Eubank - Benn will happen , I just don't think Eubank will drop weight , He knows he can get other fights , get well paid , win or lose , and highly doubt Benn will go up , he knows his next fight could be the end of him , personaly i think Hearn will push heaven and earth for the Barios fight , and then pray to God its competetive

Do you think he could beat Barios? I’ll confess I don’t know much about Barios?

He could beat Barrios. I'd make barrios favourite, but hes not very good.

The fact that nearly 3 years after he didnt win a round againt a faded and inactive Thurman, Barrios is a champ and seemingly legit name at WW tells you the state of the division. Its awful.

Isn't odd how things change?

Not so long ago, the WW division was stacked to the gills, now it's anything but.

Its awful mate. Long been the best division for me, but so bad at the minute. MW looking simiarly sparse. Seems a lot of the american talent is around the super feather to LWW. They stacked.

I‘ve kind of lost interest in Conor tbh. Chris Eubank as well. They‘ve had too much exposure, chest thumping etc. with nothing at the end of it.

That said, if either of them announces a big fight my interest will doubtless return. I‘m just not waiting for it.

I‘m more interested in something like Cacace vs Wood. Crocker vs Donovan is also top drawer and a natural match.

Yeah, I've missed his last two fights and couldn't give a toss what he does next.
The Eubank fight has gone off the boil for me, I just don't like how it all went, the demands on Eubank and then the failed tests. I doubt there would be a fair outcome if it went to the judges anyway, Benn being by far the A side.

No , Unless of course i'm completly blinded by my utter dislike for this fella , which is totally possible , Don't think i've ever didliked a boxer more so than Benn , mainly because with others its selling a fight , with this prick he really is a prick

No way is Benn the A side, all he brings to the table is his dad’s name.

He’s not even marketable as a bad guy, the guy everyone loves to hate, like Eubank Jr used to be. Conor is rightly reviled by the serious boxing fans on this forum but the wider public couldn’t care less about a failed drug test and they’re probably not aware of the appalling attitude he’s displayed throughout the whole saga

But if you were Eddie, surely there is more future in Benn than there is in Eubank?
Chris is old.
With the same careful matchmaking as they did with Eubank, Benn could earn for Eddie until the end of the decade.

I don’t care how good a matchmaker you have, it’s going to be hard to earn big with Benn.

Think the biggest difference here is Eddie could not and cannot control Chris , whereas he has total control over Benn ,, Chris has proved quite a few times win or lose that he can box , he can draw crowds , he can play the bad guy and switch to the good guy , he's his own man theres no way can Eddie control him , and theres still good fights out there for Chris .

Benn on the other hand is just a legend in his and his fathers mind , , he's still to have a meaningful fight at British level against someone capable . The public is getting bored with him , i think there so used to hearing him bleat about what he's going to do and never doing it , there now awake to him , Benns not the A game , bet they don't have him on PPV or main event anywhere , against anyone EXCEPT Eubank or Barios , and then it will be 50-50 , some tuning in to see if he can finally do what he says he can some to see him get an hiding

He isn't, but neither has Chris been. He has been carefully matched since the Groves loss and never stepped up to the top tier again. But still earned a lot considering.
I just think Eddie can do the same with Benn.
It's just age that goes against Eubank, to me that is why he isn't the A side.

You are a top poster Kiwi, but think you might have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to Benn.

Neither his resume or profile comes close to that of Eubank for me.

I think to sum up their respective standings in the game it could be argued that Eubank has forged a decent career for himself operating on the fringes of world level and has earned handsomely. He’d like the money from fighting Benn but he doesn’t need him.

Benn on the other hand operated on the fringes of domestic level until he mysteriously found himself carrying KO power which he used against a couple of semi retired shot guys. For Conor, all roads lead to Eubank, he has no career without him

I think that’s pretty much the opinion of most people regarding Benn’s personal character. There’s seemingly nothing redeemable about him is there. I’m not a nasty person but he is extremely unlikeable.

It was more about future earning potential than the tiers of success in the sport.
Benn hasn't tried for domestic baubles so we don't even know if he could beat the likes of Harry Scarff or Essurman but I imagine both would give him a tough time, as would Paddy Donovan. But we will probably never know.

CONOR BENN WANTS TO ACHIEVE AMERICAN DREAM AFTER CHRIS EUBANK JR. CHAPTER CLOSES

Conor Benn says that once his rematch with Chris Eubank Jr. is out of the way, he wants to bring a world title home from the United States.

Benn (23-1, 14 KOs), who lost to Eubank (35-3, 25 KOs) on points in a thrilling contest at the top of The Ring's first ever card in April, will rematch his generational rival once again Nov. 15 back at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The fight, titled 'Unfinished Business' will be streamed live on DAZN PPV.

'The Destroyer' has spoken before of his love for the WBC title, however, and a clash with current champ Mario Barrios back at welterweight, two weights below the 160-pound limit he will fight Eubank at for a second time, remains on the agenda.

However Benn has also set his sights on some of American boxing's biggest stars, namely Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.

Haney will fight Brian Norman Jr. on 'Ring IV: Night of the Champions' Nov. 22 for the WBO 147-pound championship. Stevenson is the current WBC lightweight champion, but will likely make a move to both junior welterweight and welterweight in the near future.

"I'd like to fight Barrios, [but] once I've got the WBC title ... it's a hard one," Benn said on the latest episode of 'Inside The Ring'. "I'd like Shakur [Stevenson], all the yanks, all the Americans. They're currently killing it. Obviously you've got Lewis Crocker over here who won the IBF title ... but Devin Haney-Brian Norman, I'd love the winner, same for Shakur, if he wants to come up.

"Any of your top guys, you want to compare yourself to them. We put them on a pedestal over here, so you really wanna mix it with them and do a number on them."

Following Benn's defeat to Eubank on Apr. 26, the 29-year-old made his way over to New York City to attend The Ring's second card in Times Square, which Haney and fellow star Ryan Garcia fought on in separate fights. Haney beat Jose Ramirez while Garcia lost to Rolando Romero in the main event. Both, however, failed to impress.

Meanwhile, Benn spent much of the week completing endless media duties and soaking in the adulation for competing in a Fight of the Year contender just days prior.

But the thought of heading back across the pond with world title gold in mind means a lot more to the Essex man.

"I feel like I'm quite well-known over there," he added. "Whenever I go to the States the love they show me is second to none. But I've always wanted to go over there, win the title and bring it home, that's just something I've always wanted to do.

"Going there and beating your champion and bringing it home, there's something rewarding in that."

Has there even been a boxer with so little pedigree and so thin a record who has called out so many of the world’s elite fighters as Benn does ?

It’s beyond annoying, beyond embarrassing even. It’s slightly troubling that he doesn’t see how absurd he looks. It’s not confidence or arrogance it’s narcissism. Does he potentially have narcissistic personality disorder ?
