Wow. Genuinely surprised they had it so wide for Makhmudov. Not even 1 judge tried to f*ck him over. Good for them. :TU:

I have to say, unlike a lot of people here I felt the points off were deserved. He initiated a lot of holding, and the last one came because he wouldn't let go after getting stunned a little.

Really difficult one for Allen, if he stayed at range got his ears boxed and when he went close was too close and stifling his own work. Good effort, but soundly beaten.

I didn't have a problem with the deductions, he wasn't holding and releasing, he was grabbing on for ages. But he well won it,fair play.

Yeah, it's all well and good to cheer for your man, but don't disrespect the other boxer. He fought his heart out too. This wasn't a fight where either man deserved to hear boos at the end. It was an excellent fight.

Dave put it all together on the night, but he was just too small really.

Makh should fight in UK/on DaZN again - he's a fun watch and great test.

Exactly, more coked. Whenever I go to a decent sized show, the queue for the cubicle is three times the queue for the urinal.

He feels similar to Zhilei Zhang. Not a Southpaw, but similarly powerful, similar stamina issues. Fairly good skill and accuracy. Leaky defense.

He'd definitely make for many interesting and fun fights.

Enjoyable fight, I think Allen did his best, but was just a bit too small and couldn't keep enough pressure on, ref helped the russian too
Good fight

Agreed with the 115-111 card but could've been wider, typical Allen performance, a lot of heart and toughness, an excellent chin but no head movement, took too many shots and didn't let his hands go nearly enough, Makhmudov was really good tbf, his holding was bad though, more than deserved the points off, anytime Allen was in close he was all over him but boxing wise Makhmudov was dominant, rammed the jab in the face of Allen, drilled the right hands in, Allen stood in range hands up, blocked and partially blocked a lot but also took a lot clean, 4 rounds down but Allen had a great 5th, was landing uppercuts and body shots, looked like the tide might be turning but although he was quickening his feet he wasnt throwing when in range and Makhmudov was able to tee off again, Allen was falling in getting tied up easily, smothering his work when he did land in the follow up, Allen's balls are massive though, he did keep landing uppercuts and right hands occasionally to keep Makhmudov honest but he couldn't land the money punch and Makhmudov was a worthy winner

There are good UK crowds and bad UK crowds. That crowd looked and sounded like an especially twattish bunch, unfortunately.

Casuals love a bit of Dave Allen.

Hard to say where dave goes from here... solid rest through to newyears. but realisticaly you could then go journyman on a local card, journyman on a dazn card, then Headline shefeild again... the place was buzzing...you would either need brittish title on the line or a name that has faded a lot... (pulev, wilder, zhang, chisora, ortiz, whyte)

Obviously retirement is a solid option too.

It was a dirty fight on both sides. Mak got warned though, and carried on doing it.

Allen v Chisora in a battle of fan favourites is my guess. It'd be a good fight too.
