My first amateur fight

Post by 2189098 »

I'm (hopefully) having my first ever amateur fight on October 5, 2 days after my bday. I almost fought today, but didn't make the registration in time. Although I'm kinda glad, since I suffered from asthma a few days before. Now that I feel a lot better, I think I can perform better. I've been (un) officially training boxing for around more than a year now X Trench Run. Since I don't have much funds for a boxing gym, I just watch videos on different boxers and try to implement some of those tricks into my style. I mostly just practice on my heavy bag for 12 rounds. I'd appreciate any extra tips or advice before I fight.

With not a lot of funds to go to a gym and prepare properly. Expect to have a difficult time, but if you're serious about pursuing Boxing don't be discouraged from having difficulty early on as an amateur. Making mistakes and learning from them is what being an amateur is all about.

Don't need to do 12 rounds to train for a 3x2's fight

If I find it challenging to maintain my stamina during training, what specific exercises or techniques would you recommend to improve my endurance before the fight?
