Anyone know much about Frank Wiliams? He was a former super-middleweight from Detroit who boxed out the Kronk gym, he had a pretty short pro career (1995-98). He lost his last two fights and ended with a 7(6)-2-1 record. He was referred to as an amateur standout fighter and Kronk prospect at the time so just curious what happened to him or why his career didn't go as planned.

This is the first I’ve heard of him but my guess is after looking at his record that after he got beat , his promoter and manager sent him over seas and put him in over his head in his opponent’s hometown.
That kind of thing, can take the wind out of a fighters sails. When you realize that now you are an “opponent “ and no longer regarded as a prospect, you have to take a hard look at what the future is going to bring. Rough game.

In pro boxing, that first time you get sent out of town, or in this case, out of the country, can go one of two ways. The promoter is either very confident of your ability and wants to showcase you, or the promoter sends you over there to get beat.
All part of the behind the scenes maneuvering that goes on.
That’s why it’s important to have people you trust with you. Or, if it’s just you making decisions, you better do your homework.

Yeah the fact he lost two on the spin with the last one being a first round KO loss maybe he just decided to call it a day
