Usyk, Bivol, Crawford & Inoue.

I apologise as this thread probably belongs elsewhere but this section of the forum has the best posters so......

What other eras would have gone 4 - 0 over the above four fighters?

Usyk at Heavy, Bivol at Light-heavy, Crawford at Welter or Middle and Inoue at Feather or Bantam.

Was there another time when four active fighters at the same time would be favoured over these four?

I'm not saying there's not. I just wanted to hear others opinions.

Early 2000's had Lennox Lewis at Heavy, Roy Jones at Light Heavy, Hopkins at Middleweight, and the start of the greatest era in Featherweight history when Marquez, Morales, Pacquiao and Barrera were all either in or coming into the division

1924 - Jack Dempsey, Gene Tunney, Harry Greb & Cannonball Eddie Martin. I'd say 2-2.

1927 - Gene Tunney, Tommy Loughran, Mickey Walker & Tony Canzoneri. Another 2-2.

1939 - Joe Louis, Billy Conn, Henry Armstrong & K.O. Morgan. I reckon 3-1 to the oldies. Maybe 2-2.

1955 - Rocky Marciano, Archie Moore, Sugar Ray Robinson & Sandy Saddler. I think Usyk beats Rocky but that's it.

1969 - Muhammad Ali, Bob Foster, Nino Benvenuti & Ruben Olivares. Four of my all time favourites. I still say 2-2.

As you might recall, I am a massive Lewis fan & was at his first & last pro bouts. When he's focused he's top notch. He should be able to keep Usyk at the end of his jab.

Jones in 2001 was still undefeated except for a DQ. You'd have to favour him over Bivol. Just his speed, let alone the power.

Hopkins v Crawford is the most intriguing battle. I saw B-Hop against Dawson & he tried to cheat his way to a win but he was a very intelligent fighter. Crawford is just as intelligent but a little smaller, although he has the same reach.

As for Inoue, he had Barrera, Morales & Hamed at 126 around that time. Pacquiao at 122. And also Rafael Marquez at 118. I can see him beating or losing to all of them. I rate Manny at the top though.

I agree Hopkins vs Crawford is the most intriguing of the fights.

Inoue vs any of the above mentioned Featherweight legends would also be guaranteed great fights. I can't imagine he could go unbeaten against all of them. None of them could go unbeaten against each other either
