I think a lot of it depends on the nature of the fight.
I'm a bit younger than you and my running pace is still 90% what is was 15 years, and I can lift the same weights. More creaks etc but I don't feel dramatically older. The biggest decline I've noticed is in my short-term recovery, where I can run as far as I used to at a slow pace or not far off my PBs at tempo, but find intervals harder for sure.
Froch is canny enough to work the last 30 seconds of rounds to get around this, putting the onus on Paul to break him up downstairs. I just don't think Paul's got the skills to force Froch into repeat max efforts to exploit his age.
Yes I think that'd be the winning strategy for Froch. Come hard the last 30 seconds or so of each round, and make Jake waste a lot of nervous energy in the other 2 and a half minutes of the round.
If Froch just focused on keeping his defense tight for most of the round, he'd probably be able to nullify a good deal of Paul's offense.
Paul is the naturally bigger man here too though aside from being the younger man. So it's probably going to be too much for Froch, but honestly I'd be satisfied just to see Jake Paul with a bloody nose or a badly cut eye. Just something where we know, Froch was really trying to beat him.

But then his new conk should encourage him, and it's not like he has to take one to land one at this level. Just keep his guard tight - cross, even - and pop that long jab consistently. The pressure of that alone might be enough to tire Paul. Looking for the KO would be his worst bet.

He'd have the mental edge. Even though all the physical advantages are in Jake Paul's favor, I'm pretty sure Jake Paul would be a little intimidated and nervous of a guy like Froch. Froch I don't believe will be nervous of Jake Paul.
Nerves will definitely cause you to make a lot more stupid mistakes, and wear yourself out quicker.
It'd be interesting. I guess it's clear that all we're ever gonna get out of Jake Paul is these Novelty circus fights, but all things considered it's a more entertaining way to go about the Boxing business than most Journeymen tend to provide.

I don't think most Jake Paul bouts are fake. They're in his favor in the sense that he's fighting someone old or washed up, and no I don't think he tried his best against MIke Tyson because he could've stopped him if he had, but that may have been out of respect, I'm not sure. I don't believe Mike when he says he was paid not to give a sincere effort. I think he gave the effort he could give.
The Jake Paul-Gervonta Davis thing is f*cking stupid though, and I could give a rat's ass about that.
I saw a gym clip of Froch (because he films everything these days) six months ago and he looked in reasonable shape. Not fast, but reasonable.
I don't think it would take much Froch, maybe 70% of his prime, to beat the YouTuber.
JP knows how to get people talking by dropping names but then not fighting them, its was AJ then it turned out to be a fella the size of my Mrs, now its Frotch but it will end up being Ricardo Looes.
