Sky Boxing Contract
Re: Sky Boxing Contract
Boxing has been on Sky for 30 years. It has not shown the sport for 5 months.
Boxing is deemed a minority sport and thus there is no sense of urgency to award a contract.
The latest rumour it could be as late as January 2026 before they declare their hand.
What has impressed sky executives is the amount
Of interest with 35p+ proposals being received
The court case Shalom versus Wichusen is of significant concern.

A cynic might suspect that both of the new numerically named members are one and the same person.

The numbers thing was assigned by the site, I've no idea how to change it.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025, 10:19You got a stage name? rather than numbers?2019588 wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025, 10:14My civilian name is irrelevant to the merits or otherwise of the points raised.Frostieballs wrote: ↑04 Nov 2025, 06:31

Like I said, it seems aimed at positioning /maneuvering a particular angle - bear in mind industry insiders inc Sky staff read these forums - to try and add some weight to a pitch.

Re: Sky Boxing Contract
The posting style is incredibly familiar.
Anyway, my two pennies worth. I’m really not convinced Sky are bothered by boxing and more critically I think the Sky model and platform is yesterdays news.
All types of TV (and streaming) is going on its arse. MTV is closing in the uk, that says a lot about the sky model.

I thought that. A smarty pants with 'inside' knowledge and an ever so slightly condescending tone. Reminds me of Rover and a couple of others.
