Marco Antonio Barrera vs Jesus Chavez (2006)

The fight that was meant to happen on March 25, 2006 at the MGM Grand in Vegas.

Barrera (a unified 130lbs champ at the time) was supposed to move up in weight and challenge Chavez for Chávez' IBF lightweight title. If MAB would've won, he'd have become the Mexico's first 4-division titlist.

Fight was cancelled with a month to go, as Jesus Chavez suffered a bicep injury.

This is a really tough bout for Barrera by 2006. He may still have had enough to win it, but I think by 2006 it's been a little bit too long, and he'd probably lose a hard fought decision against the aggressive Chavez.
