The constant changing of different and varied packages is also confusing and not customer friendly.

Does anyone want to predict when DAZN (if ever) becomes profitable?

Watching Spurs-Man Utd.

They’re promoting the Eubank-Benn 2 in the side boards in the stadium.

That’s the only promotion I’ve really seen.

TNT won’t promote it. Not on TV via ads anyway. Comms won’t promote it.

So being at the stadium or watching a Spurs home game on TV is the most I’ve seen about the fight.

If it was on SKY PPV or TNT PPV it would be hyped in every match and during SKY Sports News etc plus all the adverts during shows. You can't beat the cross promotion they can give which is why DAZN in it's present form will only appeal to the hardcore.

Every time I go on DAZN I have a pop up asking me if I want to buy it!!!!! I have said no thanks about 50 times :witzend:

Also the Opetaia - Cynkara fight has disappeared from the UK schedule….. I know it’s no longer on DAZN Australia for sure….its on Stan TV whatever that is

They are stinging the Americans $450 a year for the Ultimate.
Poor buggers.
I read that Golden Boy and Matchroom can do their own PPV's outside of the deal.
Maybe that's a rumor, but I definitely wouldn't put it past them, DAZN has form for further fleecing of fans.
Boxing used to be a working man's sport, didn't it?

Always been a snobby element to it mate. People in suits chucking coins into the ring whilst working class people bash each other up.

I think you make a good point. Like most sports undertaken and enjoyed by working class people, it’s always been controlled by those with wealth. Eddie and co are the latest iteration of the penny chuckers.

Matt Christie wrote about a fight he was at in 2010 where this happened

“Another was the last only time I have seen ‘nobbins’ – an old-school practice in which coins are thrown into the ring by the crowd in appreciation of the action – accompany a closing bell after a rousing draw between Chris Brophy and John “The Don” Brennan”

I also seem to recall watching a fight a few years ago where this happened but I can’t remember who it was between.

The advertising for Sky, Dazn is shocking.

One on the bus shelter near me, wonder how much this costs and is it more beneficial than having SKY or TNT advertise it during events.
Can't imagine an old girl waiting for a bus to work seeing that poster and thinking I must pay 25 quid on Saturday to watch this

I always said this then people complain that YouTubers and social media stars are paid more than actual boxes but when it’s PPV it’s the consumers that are paying the purses. No one is forcing them to pay. I believe Ryan Garcia was the first boxer to have a big following on social media and it showed in his fights. I thought other boxes from them would start to follow. You don’t need to even be controversial. You just need to be well liked and maybe be in the same circle as other Stars with a decent following.
