Adam Smith
Re: Adam Smith
Must admit I was never a fan when he first came on our screens but massively warmed to him now!

Re: Adam Smith
Very nice fella and I'm sure he's a very good human being and thats whats important but unfortunately he's the worse commentator I've ever heard . The show i enjoyed most on DAZN this year was the one he missed on holiday.
Re: Adam Smith
Even his harshest critic - and I'm no fan - has to give Smith enormous credit for that eulogy.

He was once again awful last night. I'm so angry that we have to listen to this tosspot ruining fights for decades and the pr*ck just won't f*cking go away.
JUST F*CK OFF YOU C*NT, I KNOW YOU WILL READ THIS BECAUSE YOU ARE A NARCISSISTIC ****. I F*CKING HATE YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!

Re: Adam Smith
Obviously, the eugology aside, which was excellent, Adam Smith is genuinely ruining my enjoyment of boxing. Been watching as a hardcore since 2000
I know there's an option to turn the sound off, but still. I don't remember him being this bad at SKY Sports. Maybe he was.

Re: Adam Smith
How many times did he mention Wardley’s ‘story’ last night?
Or that he only had 4 white collar fights?
Or that he only had 4 white collar fights?
Re: Adam Smith
Fair enough. He didn't seem to bother me as much then, maybe because Sky was one of a few options. Now DAZN has everything and Mr Bean is omnipresent.Coco wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 06:33In fairness he was awful at SKY toosteve689 wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 06:32 Obviously, the eugology aside, which was excellent, Adam Smith is genuinely ruining my enjoyment of boxing. Re: Adam Smith
Steedo was laughing at how absurd DAZN comms are and almost openly criticising him on his podcast a couple of weeks back. Previewing the recent Dave Allen fight he basically said that he hoped Barry Jones would act as a voice of reason in the commentary box to rein in the expected ridiculous hyperbole of DAZN commentary

Re: Adam Smith
There is no way on earth that Adam Smith reads these message boards. What normal human being would read 20 years commentary on how absolutely f*cking sh*te he is, and still not improve in the slightest? in fact he even gets worse. A sadist maybe, getting a thrill from driving most viewers half mad…but no, he’s almost hundred percent certain dumb as f*uck.
Re: Adam Smith
ERrr dunno so much we are talking about Adam Smith here. . He would read and say to himself they dont mean it there just pulling me leg . And in any case when they get to know the narrative they.ll love me amywayMightyWarrior wrote: ↑26 Oct 2025, 16:23 There is no way on earth that Adam Smith reads these message boards. His constant shouting genuinely ruins the boxing!!!
Sick of hearing it

Re: Adam Smith
The cheerleading was particularly bad tonight, even Jones ( who normally tells it how it is) was joining in and not one of them called it for what was evident from the first round.

I tried to block out his voice.. but it’s hard to do..
Ruins every decent fight

Re: Adam Smith
Does he ever shut up? He just talks crap for every second of the whole fight.
Re: Adam Smith
I wonder if he growls at home, or in the supermarket?
It's very, very annoying.
I get he's passionate about the sport, but somebody needs to have a word.
Ggggrrrrrrr.
