What an odd end to a fight , Rafael Espinoza had given a 10 round beating to Arnold Khegai and he was pulled out by his corner at the end of 10 rounds, but the ref waited until the start of the 11th and proceeded to give Khegai a ten count with his cornerman stood in the ring with him. So he lost by KO 15 seconds into round 11.

I don’t know but there’s a rumour going round that he put his life savings on the fight finishing in the 11thRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑16 Nov 2025, 03:15wtf? Aye that was odd, never seen the ref count with the seconds still in the ring, tough night for Khegai, he was on a hiding to nothing, never won a round but was tough as old boots, never ran or held, took his lumps but Espinoza just systematically took him apart bit by bit, peppered Khegai with the jab, uppercuts and combinations, Khegai was cut by the 7th, every round after that I was expecting his corner to pull their man but they kept sending him out and as brave as he was Espinoza just kept plugging away taking him apart, finally after 10 rounds it was pulled, not sure why ref didn't just wave it off mind

Pretty weird from the ref that, but the kid had taken an absolute shell hacking and the corner should’ve pulled him earlier. Dangerous beating that, got to look out for the ones who are impossible to knock out …
6 foot one feather insane really, Naz old title, and Barrera, who I think I saw there - but the fact that he beat the Cuban for the title shows this kid is terrific. A great singer as well, check out his mariachi singing.
And the two top-rank comms, who absolutely know their stuff: low-key, not yabbering away over everything, including the introductions and ring walk, and insightful knowledge.

Espinoza looked massive at the weight , would be interesting to see what he weighed at fight time.
He beat a good fighter last night who swung for his chin when he could.

They usually do that in Mexico, the counting when one corner quits. I don't know where that particular tradition comes from, but it's not unusual there.
