Jake Paul and his team are vultures, identifying rotten, shot fighters who are actually easy pickings. like investors shorting companies they feel are overpriced. AJ's last dance in Wembley shouldn't be forgotten here.mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Nov 2025, 18:21 The thing being overlooked is that they had Cassius Chaney lined up for AJ. Seriously, they must have real concerns about him.

Just a side question…. If this was Jake Paul vs Whyte… what would the odds be.
Whyte is soooo shot to bits (what I thought pre Moses then confirmed by Moses) that I would actualy give Paul a chance Vs Whyte…

Anyway - for old times sake. I think there is only one thing to say about this fight.
Joshua vs Jake Paul is on - I blame George Groves.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
Well I'll say it now and risk the ridicule- JP wins by ko, Joshua shot to pieces and cashing out.
Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
Can see what you are saying - quite hard to tell just how shot Whyte is from that fight as Moses could be just that good.... but he looked pretty shot I must say. Probably still too much for Paul's telegraphed shots, but his balance looks fecked and I'd image Whyte would start a pretty big favourite.gregregegg wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 16:39 Just a side question…. Interestingly for the main (Joshua vs Ngannou aside) these total "mismatches" between boxers and crossover / youtube / celebrities have been so far quite embarrassing for the boxer. Well, Mayweather vs McGregor really wasn't but again most boxing experts were saying Mayweather by whatever second he pleases.

Yea I would have Whyte favorite, but not so much that it would not be interesting…stujones wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 17:15Can see what you are saying - quite hard to tell just how shot Whyte is from that fight as Moses could be just that good.... but he looked pretty shot I must say. Early odds I am seeing.
Jake Paul 7/1
AJ 1/14.
I thought it would be more, but I am guessing the bookies are mindful of who is promoting it and what further stipulations will be announced.

Yeah and I wouldn't like to really call Paul vs Near 50 Carl Froch. As I said, so far for the most part these boxers have dissapointed (for whatever reason) in these cross over bouts. They should be whalloping their opponent and making them look silly - but they really haven't been.gregregegg wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 17:17Yea I would have Whyte favorite, but not so much that it would not be interesting…stujones wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 17:15Can see what you are saying - quite hard to tell just how shot Whyte is from that fight as Moses could be just that good.... but he looked pretty shot I must say. Has Froch commented on this yet? Last I heard he said JP was avoiding calling him out, well this has kind of blown that theory out the water.

Yep he has. Just basically calls aj a sell out.Controversial wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 19:56 Has Froch commented on this yet? Last I heard he said JP was avoiding calling him out, well this has kind of blown that theory out the water.

Joshua can't be shot enough to lose to Paul in this lifetime. If he loses it would be because he purposely threw the fight and it would probably completely destroy the credibility of the entire sport. It would certainly obliterate Joshua's legacy all to hell.

It's going to be as big as Canelo vs Crawford so it'll make money.KiwiRider wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 12:36It was a spectacular KO.
Not that I paid for the fight, I just watched a two minute clip- which was all the attention I thought it deserved.
We can only do what consumers can, and that's to not pay for it, and not watch it..we can also express our opinion to the fighter, his management, and the promotor.
These things don't happen if they don't make money.
Rest easy knowing that the Boxing career of Jake Paul ends here.

Moses Itauma backs Jake Paul against former gym-mate Anthony Joshua
Moses Itauma is “getting behind” Jake Paul when he takes on his former stablemate Anthony Joshua on December 19 in Miami, Florida.
Many were surprised to see that the two-time heavyweight champion and Olympic gold medalist Joshua had been selected by Paul as his next opponent. The YouTube star turned boxer has faced criticism across his career for not fighting worthy opposition. Paul normally selects old and past their best champions, such as the 58 year old Mike Tyson he defeated over 12 rounds in November 2024, but there is nothing to complain about with the selection of Joshua.
Joshua may not be the feared heavyweight he once was, and is coming off a devastating fifth round knockout defeat to then-IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in September 2024. That defeat saw Joshua part ways with Ben Davison, who also trains Itauma, and is now rumoured to be linking up with Team Usyk out in Spain ahead of the fight with Paul.
Itauma, speaking ahead of his clash with Jermaine Franklin on January 24, was asked by BS and select members of the media for his thoughts on his former stablemate's recent fight announcement.
“The money that gets thrown around, people like that can step in the ring with a two-time heavyweight champion,” Itauma said.” It's got a bragging power in it. Listen, I don't hate on any man that's trying to do well. Jake Paul has smashed life, conquered YouTube, now he's trying to conquer boxing, although I don't think it's going to be as easy as he thinks.
“Fair play to him, I'm going to be behind him because I like to see a man strive for success,” said Itauma. “Although I don't want to see him beat AJ [Anthony Joshua], I'm going to be behind him for his success story.”

If it isn't a real fight then this will prove once and for all that his whole career is a sham, and nobody will watch again.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 04:16....if it's a real fightgilgamesh wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 00:38It's going to be as big as Canelo vs Crawford so it'll make money.KiwiRider wrote: ↑18 Nov 2025, 12:36

The problem is if this isn't a real fight it'll mean to most people that watch it that all of Boxing is now a sham, and is no longer worth watching.
This isn't Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua. This is Jake Paul vs Boxing's Integrity. If Joshua loses, the sport has no Integrity, and maybe it never did, and we might oughta just do away with it.
Even if Jake Paul defies the odds, and is braver and tougher than any of us could ever imagine he was. There's still no way he could possibly survive 2 rounds against Anthony F*cking Joshua if Joshua is coming to get it.
I can't even imagine him surviving 1 unless AJ just toys with him.
Personally I hope he gives him about 10 to 15 increasingly stiff jabs, and then lays him out with a straight right or uppercut. If Jake stands up to even 1 clean power punch I'll be genuinely surprised.

I just find it hard to buy that Jake Paul is dumb enough to have a real fight with an 18 stone 6,6 HW who hits like an 18 wheeler.gilgamesh wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 04:51If it isn't a real fight then this will prove once and for all that his whole career is a sham, and nobody will watch again.

Re: Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul | NETFLIX - 19 December 2025
But why would Anthony Joshua allow himself to be bought off? He's already rich. He doesn't need the money. He's not a charity case. He's still an active contender in the Heavyweight division, and still one of its biggest names. Toward the tail end of his career certainly, but still with a few years left in him it would appear should he want them.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 04:55I just find it hard to buy that Jake Paul is dumb enough to have a real fight with an 18 stone 6,6 HW who hits like an 18 wheeler.gilgamesh wrote: ↑19 Nov 2025, 04:51If it isn't a real fight then this will prove once and for all that his whole career is a sham, and nobody will watch again.

Why would he throw it all away by giving a bullsh*t effort against this guy?
To me it feels like the entire Jake Paul saga has been building to something like this, and this is where it ends. This is the way it has to end.
