Matty Harris heavyweight
First I’ve seen him fight, he was on the Harlem Eubank card. From Coventry, he’s a big lump at 6’8” and 260lbs, he’s only 23 years old. Currently 5-0(4KOS) with last four KOs coming in first round. He has been sparring with AJ and Fury. Maybe one to watch, Sauerland was raving about him afterwards saying he’s the hardest puncher he’s worked with.

Re: Matty Harris heavyweight
I fully agree, he looks interesting
Certainly a really good batch of new British heavies on the horizon

Re: Matty Harris heavyweight
Fights next Friday. Going for his tenth win against a bloke who also has 9 wins & a loss (plus a draw).
I know he got stopped soon after this thread got started
Did he run out of steam in that fight?
If he comes through next weekend, I'm hoping he picks up the pace a bit in 2026.
On a side note looking at the rankings the UK has a few Heavies with between 6-15 wins & 2 or less losses. We need an 8 man elimination contest or something. Too many fighters dilly-dallying at present.
Soloman Dacres 10-1
Jordan Thompson 15-2 (welcome back, by the way)
Ed Omoregie 10-0
Moses Jolly 11-0
Harvey Dykes 6-0-1
Simon Ibekwe 6-0 (both these two are 29 so get a move on)
Harris
And others.

Re: Matty Harris heavyweight
Harris was a pretty respected prospect… huge guy and young…
lost to dob but he was only like 22 ish… also dropped dob so he has good power.
Really good opponent Ignacios, if matty wins he is back on track to be a fringe brittish contender…

He’s been pulled out of the fight vs Ignatius due to illness.

Re: Matty Harris heavyweight
Harvey (ex National Amateur champ) actually boxes on the same show as Harris on Friday. I have posted some info on other threads as I am doing a bit of PR work with him, but wont repeat here as I don't want to spam the forum!Taansend wrote: ↑16 Nov 2025, 02:06 Fights next Friday. Harvey has also sparred with Jordan Thompson - they are both decent prospects (if you can still call Jordan that).
