Gotta love the puma, quite a character - no argie fans there though, judging by crowd reaction to his weigh in
Unlike the Brits there for Sam, lotta cheering

Why do these dumb arses bring on buffer to announce the fighters for the main event and co main weigh ins only?
Like the other fighters, Bam Rodriguez Noakes and Mason are not worthy of the old duffer buffers voice
I wouldn’t be surprised if Turki has buffer announcing his arrival when he’s heading into the bedroom to see the Mrs

Old Buffer couldn’t even remember Norman’s nickname the assassin when he stepped up to the scales
Everyone’s getting seduced by the charming and funny Norman, odds 50-50 now

I cant pick between Norman and Haney. Feel like Normans the pick, but, the fact that the Haneys have took it makes me uneasy. Like they know something. Plus Haney looks huge, how he did LW fairly recently is insane. The back on him!
Think benavidez ko's yarde somewhere between 7 and 9.
Mason will beat noakes. KO. I like Noakes but think Mason is exceptional.
Bam will win but i think it might go points.

Really looking forward to this show now. I think Norman will catch up with Haney in the second half of the fight and land a big shot to get him out.
For some reason, I’ve got a sneaky feeling Yarde might win somehow. Only problem is Tunde would be unbearable, but I’d give him his props

Someone said Devin Haney is going to be 170lb on the night, that’s crazy.
A Light-heavy fighting for the welterweight title.
Noman is a superb puncher, and there’s a good chance Haney is damaged goods after that outrageous PED beating he got from Garcia.
But if that’s not the case, and he’s still as good as he was, he’d be the favourite here.
Norman has real charisma, and everybody is loving him in the build up here, but he was pretty lucky last year. A title shot out of nowhere and all the guys he’s beat are nowhere near the level of Haney.
I’m not sure his chin is that great either. Bocachica dropped him quite heavily, and the bell rang before the follow up. Then cuts ended the fights shortly after.
But he recovered pretty quickly, and he’s not looked back since… it’s going to be a very interesting fight tonight, hard to predict…

Whole thing starting at 8pm UK time?
Going to be a late one then....

Decent fights but I won't pay extra for it.
Having Yarde in the main event is not exactly appealing. He's become invisible in British boxing and hasn't made any effort to learn from his 'lions in the camp' parachuting into big fights without a grounding that would actually help him win.

Imagine that.
Starting a card at 11pm local time.
Clearly they catering for American fans.
Hence the fight card too.

Haney hasn't stopped anyone for 6 years.
Hope Norman starches him. Step up in levels for Norman though

Best fight card I can remember since the 1990s, and Don King putting together shows with Mike Tyson, JC Chavez, Azumah Nelson, Julian Jackson..
I’ll get a kip later, after the football and tune in 8pm into the night
3am finish not too bad. I can’t do the American shows anymore, but this no problem.

It's a quality card but I reckon the Feb card with the Beterbiev v Bivol rematch was better and maybe the 5 v 5MightyWarrior wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 08:55 Best fight card I can remember since the 1990s, and Don King putting together shows with Mike Tyson, JC Chavez, Azumah Nelson, Julian Jackson..

It's not like here over there. Things were open all night, just average shops, businesses, etc.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Nov 2025, 08:11 Imagine that.

I invited a load of mates over for it expecting it to be over by midnight.
We'll have to watch the rugby first and I'll have the job of turfing out half a dozen pissed up geezers at 4 am (it's an hour later over here in Norway)

I have a feeling Yarde is going to get turned over quicker than most predict tonight, Benavidez is a busy boxer and will set an early pace and pressure that Yarde won't be able to go with.

But then he could just box and Yarde probably get tired again.
